Yesterday at past 10 o'clock in the evening, my friend and I ate at the Shakey's Project 8 Branch which is situated near the San Juan River. Everything was seemingly going well not until when a young male waiter/service crew carrying our order for the big plates of Super Brunch Lunch asked and requested me twice to remove the dirty plate used by my friend for the green veggie salad so that he could place the plate for the newly arrived dishes on the table. I obliged but with great reluctance, regret and dismay. To add to the injury, he never removed all the used and dirty plates and cutleries utilized by both of us, from our table. I was the one instead who removed and put them on the nearby table grudgingly. While still eating, my friend and I reported my said incredible, ludicrous and ridiculous customer service experience with the rude, unpleasant and discourteous waiter, to the manager on duty. However, it didn't help much and it was of to no avail since we felt that the manager was obviously lacking sincerity, zeal and passion to resolve the conflict basing from his demeanor and behavior. This is notwithstanding that I relayed to him that I am having second thoughts of going back to the same diner location to eat even though it was our third visit and that, my friend expressly said that the store owner must know the incident as this would be a precursor for his or her franchised pizza parlor to lose valuable customers in the future.
After we left the store, let's say, while inside my car and having coffee and desserts at a new coffee joint near our residences, we kept discussing the unfortunate incident. I guess that shows how much the unacceptable bad customer service experience has affected us tremendously. Read moreThey have a guarantee that they'll deliver the pizza within 31 minutes or its free. Order arrived 45 minutes after the order was received by this branch. Usually once the order is already out for delivery, the customer can already track the delivery rider. This time around, there was no tracker kasi daw wala nang available na phone na ibibigay sa rider (which I only found out about once nakarating yung rider). Understandable sure, but they could've updated their customer about it. Pagdating pa ng rider, siya pa nagrreklamo na nakapunta na daw siya dito. It's not my fault na kulang sila ng phone and because of that, di makatawag yung rider and hindi matrack ng customer yung rider. I submitted my report na nalate yung rider and manager admitted na nalate pero they won't honor that the order would be for free even if it's within the amount pa under the terms & conditions. Manager offered that they'd only give a freebie of some solo pasta as compensation. Ano pa ba magagawa ko as a customer when it's paid via card. This isn't even about the price of the order. Ang importante dito is they provide decent service and stick to their guarantees.

Read moreI am extremely angry with my experience at this Shakey’s Pizza branch today. From the moment I sat down, it was clear they were trying to cut corners and save money at the expense of customers.
First of all, the air conditioning was turned off while we were eating. The place was hot and uncomfortable, clearly because they were trying to save on electricity. For a restaurant chain like Shakey’s, this is unacceptable. Customers should not be sweating through their meals just so management can cut costs.
Even worse, I actually saw a cockroach inside the restaurant. That alone is enough reason to lose trust in this place completely. If the dining area isn’t clean, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.
And the food? Absolutely not worth it. The pizza was missing ingredients and tasted cheap, like they are trying to cut every possible corner. For the prices they charge, I expected something much better, but instead, I got substandard quality and a miserable dining experience.
Between the terrible service, unhygienic conditions, poor food quality, and blatant cost-cutting, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I will never come back to this Shakey’s branch, and I strongly recommend others...
