Chowking SM Masinag — Restaurant in Rizal

I ordered at their take out stall thinking food will be served fast. However, after I paid, I was told that the order would be served in 10 minutes. That is just for 4pcs fried siopao. I waited until the 12th minute and asked for my order, which is still not ready. I requested to cancel since I am really hungry and starting to get cold sweats, but they asked me to wait for a little more. The manager is courteous enough to request someone to serve me cold water. Still I waited some more minutes for the order, which, when it arrived, I claimed it and refused for them to further toast it on the henny penny in the booth. I avoid this store as much as possible because this store really serves food so late, based on several experiences dining here, but having a booth outside makes people think that takeaway food would be served outright. First time visiting this branch for dine in, it wasn't pack when we get there, no queue and we didn't have to wait long for our order to be served.

We ordered chao fan with siomai & chicken - nothing really special about the taste and im not sure how is CK standards kept dropping depending on the branch you’re visiting. Their chao fan is dry and tasteless, chicken is mediocre, unless if you are on budget then having their meal is acceptable.

The payment method is only cash or gcash even though they have the card terminal, so if you are non-local or someone who doesn’t carry cash or didn't have gcash app - this restaurant isn’t for you.

Ambience is so-so but usually fast food in Philippines is messy, air conditioned is low, oily table, and uses cheap utensils. I guess it’s standard...

Wonton soup - bland but its okay unlike the other Chowking branches who have ocean salty soup Chow Fan - bland but thats fine, soy sauce could fix it Noodle - hard and been sitting for a while, it's okay since the hot soup awakened it from the dead

This is the calmest Chowking I've ever been to. No chaos, only a few people, they have this buzzing thing which is a cool system for Chowking

CR - smells like chemicals, but that's fine since it is actually clean
