Giligan's — Restaurant in Rizal

It was Valentines and my Dad's bday.. so you can imagine the number of customer who are eating outside. We have already anticipated this and yet we still chose to eat outside. 😊 First time namin kumain dto ng family ko and we came around 8:30pm. Yes, i know late na for dinner. This is also not our first choice pero dito lng kasi mejo hindi ganon kahaba ang pila unlike shakeys or other restaurants sa town proper. Fast forward, we are able to sit to a table for 9 after mga 20-30min of waiting and of course naka order na rin ng group meals before pa kami nakaupo. We are also told na ubos na crispy pata which is our first choice but thats fine dami nmn choices sa menu so we changed it right away. With that being said, we are already expecting na mga max of 30 min n lng ang waiting time till dumating ang food since nka order n nmn kami 20-30min ago but unfortunately thats not the case. Food came around 11pm na. You can now imagine our faces. We even saw food coming out for other customers na mas nauna pa kaming dumating which gives me a negative feeling towards this restaurant. Did I mention na nakalimutan nilang bigyan kmi ng ice tea kung hindi pa kami nag ask? Kulang ung bowl para sa soup na order namin and kulang tissue sa table. We were not also comforted by any personnel because of the delay kahit nakita and narinig namin ung kabilang table na may personnel n humingi ng pasensya. Not asking for much pero di ba basic courtesy un para sa naghihintay n customers? in terms of the taste sa food, masarap ung pork Ribs mejo konti pa sigurong pakulo para mejo lumambot. Ung fried rice namin, malabsak. I think kakasaing lng ulit tapos niluto as fried rice na agad. I wasnt able to take a pic ng iba pang ksma nung group meals since gutom n nga kami and antok na but over all taste, its a flop. Maybe they were not ready for a number of customers ng araw na yon and maybe because late na. You see, we understand naman na nagkaka aberya talaga pag dagsa ang tao or holiday pero di ko maiwasang i compare sila sa ibang restaurant na mabilis ang service despite the holiday season. Siguro factor din ung time ng meal. 😊 The price however is not pricey (buti na lang) we paid P2200 for 9 pax and nabusog nmn lahat but hindi na kami uulit na kumain doon. 2 stars kasi: 1, para sa design ng restaurant nila and the other star is for the staff na alam kong napagod ng...

So disappointed!!!! Order took too long to serve and ended up all COLD. We ordered kare kare beef and there was only 2 small cuts of beef. The bihon guisado was soupy. Sisig was ok. Garlic fried chicken was cold! Imagine fried? You’d expect it hot but no! The cut with bones still has blood. We complained and they said they’ll give us new chicken dish. We ended up NOT eating eating but they had us pay for them! If you still want to try this restaurant, be sure you check out the foods served if it’s freshly cooked or were just warmed in microwave. Ordered food which included soup. It took them forever to serve it. My husband has finished his meal (after 2 follow-ups) atsaka pa lang nai-serve yung soup. The resto wasn't even packed when we were there pero ang bagal ng lahat. When we asked for the bill, ang bilis nila lol. Sobra pa ng 500 pesos yung change samin. Sa panget ng service at Giligan's Vista Mall, we could've gone with the excess change to compensate. But we returned it still. Overall, service was poor and food wasn't that good.
