We experienced the worst customer service today in San Mateo branch! My husband, my parents, and I are about to dine in to this restaurant, hungry and craving for ramen. We were 9th in the line before we can dine in. The receptionist took our order and informed us to wait for an hour. So, to kill some time, we roamed around the mall in less than an hour. When we came back, a new receptionist was accommodating customers, and as we approached to inform her that we're listed earlier, she bluntly told us that our waiting went back to zero, and we needed to wait as she accommodated all new customers. We ordered quite a few items to try: gyoza, teriyaki roll, kuro ramen, aka ramen, matcha ice cream, and iced tea. • Teriyaki Roll: Too salty for my taste and the teriyaki sauce was gummy—felt like it wasn’t fresh. • Gyoza: Just okay, nothing special. • Kuro Ramen: This is the garlic-based one. The garlic wasn’t too strong, which is good, but overall it felt like something was missing—lacked depth. • Aka Ramen: The spicy one—my husband liked it. He said the spice lingers but isn’t overpowering. • Iced Tea: Not sweet, but also bland. • Matcha Ice Cream: Personally, I think it’s overpriced for the taste.
