When I went here with a friend on a weekday with barely any people around, the quality of the food was amazing. It impressed me so much that I brought my parents there for dinner during the weekend and my impression of the place took a nosedive. We ordered 7 dishes and 6 out of those were disappointing (did not seem freshly cooked), including their infamous BBQ. I couldn't look my parents in the eye with how much I hyped the place up only for it to turn out embarrassingly bad (instead of even just mediocre). They told me we won't ever go there again and I couldn't argue with them.
They have such a good reputation that they're packed during weekends but that's not an excuse to deliver bad food. I hope they do better because restaurants in Roxas generally suck
Edit: I forgot to add the reason why I rated service low. They served us bowls that weren't cleaned properly (there was leftover food stuck on them)
Second edit: In case it helps, here were our orders: Chicken Sotanghon Soup - Hot, lots of soup and sotanghon but it only had a few pieces of tiny chicken slices and no other toppings. Admittedly it was still delicious because it wasn't salty like the rest. Another con was the thick layer of grease they didn't skim off on top of the soup Pork BBQ - Cold and hard, super duper disappointing Chili Squid - Cold, and unpleasantly salty Lechon Kawali - Hot, decent Bitoy's Signature Rice - Cold, tasteless/lacked seasoning Shrimp Tempura - Cold, hard crispy (not pleasantly crispy), and the most salty dish we got that night. Strongly suggest avoiding ordering this because I don't think it would taste better even if they cooked it fresh Seafood Kare Kare - Probably because it was their other signature dish, this one was really good and it was the only one they likely...

I still remember it's humble beginnings, when my dad brought me here with the place as a small shack eatery by the beach serving the best pork BBQ sticks and talaba (steamed oysters)! It has then changed and modernized into a beautiful restaurant with still the BEST BEST BEST PORK BBQ sticks in the land. Meaty at the tip side and ends with a nice section of fatty goodness. It's just flavored so well and grilled to perfection (the fat rendered to perfection)!
The TALABA is also a mustl!
We also had the bulalo, fried catfish, and the tempura shrimp which were also good. A must stop while beachfront in ROXAS! Brings back fond memories of my dad taking me here at the beach demolishing the bbq sticks. Order...
Read moreHands down, my favorite restaurant on BayBay Beach. Before the pandemic Bitoy's was a small place serving fantastic food and drinks on the beach. Post pandemic, Bitoy's is now a beautiful restaurant including 4 different decks, and an interior restaurant, bar and view of the beach.
The food is exactly what you want from a beach bar, grilled meats, sandwiches, and drinks. And without a doubt the food is so fantastic, but the new addition of the atmosphere has taken this place up a whole notch for me.
If you intend to come to BayBay Beach, you would be missing out if you didn't stop in and absorb...
