Halong Bay Resto: A Disappointing Culinary Journey As an avid Vietnamese food enthusiast and a seasoned traveler to Vietnam, I eagerly anticipated my recent order from Halong Bay Resto. However, my expectations were swiftly dashed, leaving me with a lingering sense of disappointment. My order comprised three noodle dishes accompanied by soups, carefully separated for delivery. However, the restaurant failed to label the soups, leaving us to decipher the pairings through guesswork. Fortunately, my familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine guided our makeshift identifications. The dishes themselves were far from authentic, lacking the depth of flavor and genuine ingredients that characterize Vietnamese cuisine. The Bun Bo Hue, devoid of meatballs and sausages, failed to deliver the rich bone broth essence. The Bun Tom lacked the vibrant pungency of lá lốt and the enticing shrimpy taste, leaving me wanting. And their phở, a staple Vietnamese dish, fell flat, with bland broth and overcooked, dry, tasteless beef. To complete the culinary letdown, the banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich icon, was a far cry from its authentic counterpart. The baguette, soggy and devoid of a crispy exterior, failed to provide the textural contrast that defines this classic dish. Moreover, the banh mi was missing essential components such as pickled vegetables, pâté, and cilantro, further compromising its authenticity. In conclusion, my culinary journey to Halong Bay Resto was a far cry from the authentic Vietnamese flavors I had hoped to experience. The lack of attention to detail, the absence of key ingredients, and the overall blandness of the dishes left me yearning for the genuine tastes of Vietnam.

Seriously I love veggies . I kept on searching vietnamese food and here you go . Halong Bay resto has a good choices to offer (limited offers no shrimp no pork) Food is yummy . I ordered fresh spring rolls , fried noodles and mixed vegetables . Price is quite expensive . Well the staff hmmm "noisy and talkative on my first visit☹️ I had sumptuous dinner . They have a very spacious parking space . By the way they are closing at 6:30pm 80/100 Look am sharing some photos

The menu of Halong Bay is pretty extensive but some of them are not available. Like the cuttlefish. But place is comfortable. Good parking spaces. Closes at 9pm though. Food was good enough though a Vietnamese friend said the soup base is sweeter than usual. Over all a good experience. Try the Com Ga Nam it’s a good break from the usual fried rice. Datu Tu Xuyen which is softens tofu dish is also something new!
