Everything about this place tells you it's an authentic Chinese restaurant -- mascot statue up in front, chairs with thick plastic covers, Chinese business charms at the cashier, aquarium for live seafood, and hands on owner interacting with customers to personally serve food.
Their meals are nothing short of spectacular! Everything we tried could hold up on its own, and even better enjoyed with the rest of the food.
I would like to commend the wait staff for being honest and helpful with serving portions as we almost ordered meal size too much for our group of 4 adults. Their serving is generous! All we had were small portions but we still had too much to eat, even with a bit of leftover for takeout.
We had yang chow fried rice, duck and cold cuts platter, lohanchan, beancurd roll, chicken feet, siomai and some extra plain rice. Complimentary hot tea is available too.
Our bill came up to P2100, with a P100 discount as we presented a Pag-ibig Loyalty card. We were told cash transactions get 10% discount and credit card transaction get...
Read moreWe had lunch at their Sta. Rosa Branch to treat my dad who loves chinese food to death..😅 Food was okay..except for the Seafood Salad Roll (compared to King Chef..for example), food was served on average time you'd expect food to be served, & dimsums served right away. Hacao (my favorite) is 3/5..i was sad about that.😥 Downsides were complimentary tea not served unless one asked if there's any, & servers are not to informative re the food on their menu. Probably good to note that tables were placed too close to each other just to accomodate customers, but it does make it hard to navigate around and not eventually hit someone 😅 To be fair, we did come in on peak lunch hours so understandably the placed is packed with fellow chinese-food-lovers, but man was it so uncomfortably (to be more simple..) "masikip"! And the noise was outstanding..i was sitting across my father in a very small table..just the 2 of us..and we we're close to shouting as well just to hear each other. Oh well, charge to...
Read moreKing Bee is our family’s go to Chinese restaurant whenever we’re in the area. They serve authentic Chinese food at an affordable price given the huge portions of their dishes. We got here on a Sunday evening and the place was packed. It’s a good thing we placed a reservation in advance. A must! Especially on weekends.
We ordered the following: Sweet and sour pork: Easily the best sweet and sour pork we’ve tasted. Very tasty and crunchy.
Salt and pepper squid: Another fave! Not too salty and has the right amount of spice.
Seafood egg white: This one’s off the menu but you can request it. This is my favorite especially if I’m on a diet. Doesn’t feel heavy after eating.
Eggplant with minced pork hotpot: This tastes really authentic. It’s as like I was in China. Must order! Best paired with rice.
Hot shrimp salad: Yummy!
Yang chow fried rice: Lots of “sahog”. Delicious. 😋
All of our orders were in size Small and as you can see, their...
