This place is one great place to Shop! You need at least 2 to 3 hours to roam around to appreciate the store.
Heres my review.
First, parking area is ample enough to accomodate about 300 cars, (my estimate), this is very important for a Membership Shopping store like this, because you will be surprised that you purchase so much abd moat of the items are not on your grocery list. Parking is free once you reach a certain amount of purchases. However, its not recommemd to use their parking area if youre not going to shop at all. Believe me, its very expensive to use their parking area. Also, when there is a storewide Sale, parking is not enough, and you need to be early to catch the best products on sale.
Second, since there is this pandemic and health protocol is mandatory, FACE MASK is required, and you can only bring one companion, which is actually perfect to avoid over crowding. Before this covid-19 thing, I noticed 2 to 3 companions on every member are allowed to enter, well, gone are those days but we will surely miss it, who doesnt want a happy shopping with the gang ei?! By the way, thwir ahopping carts are well mantained, no effort in pualshing it around unlike in some stores where shopping carts are dilapidated and are really annoying to use.
What I really like in this SNR branch is that they have lots and lots of items that they offer, from 12 inch to whopping top of the line 100 inches tv, home sound systems which are mid to top class, mid line appliances of all kinds, freezeers, refs, electric or gas stove, electronic gadgets, electric fans, humidifiers, aircon, kitchen appliances, imported utensil, and so much more for your cooking needs.
There is also an aisle for RTWs but not much ro choose from, some are branded though. They also have bedroom accessories, (they dont have beds though), bicycles, and not so much for sporting needs.
I can say its almost complete for household needs and personal food consumption, except of course for DIY or hardware requirements. They have an isle dedicated for it but what you can see are mostly diferent kind of ladders, carts, shoe racks, tool boxes, armored boxes and safety deposit boxes, car accessories, car tires and some brand of car care products. They have car batteries too just in case you need one.
The frozen meats section is good enough to fill your home freezer with their choice cuts and fine meat selection. The frozen food section is nice, lots of imported items you can't resist to look at, from ice cream, hash browns, to hotdog, dimsum, etc.
There is a pet needs section for cat and dog lovers.
This branch carry a lot of brands of Vitamins, skin care products, body oil, lotions, shampoo and conditioners, shaving creams, deodorant, toothpaste, bath soap, Bubble bath soap, and other body care products and essentials.
They have fresh fruits and vegetables section. A nice bread and pastries section too.
Wine and liquor selection is fabulous. They have this brand that is very expensive (around 80k per bottle) which will surely makes you think twice if its worth to drink it or store it in wine rack aa good topic for conversation.
SNR carries US , Canada, Japan, Korea and Australian products, 90%% of products are imported, expect different prices also. And also, be reminded that items here are different from local supermarkets. Oh, they accept all major credit cards and or cash for payments.
And finally, after some hours of pushing your cart full of items you carefully picked to bring home, you can reward yourself with their famous SNR Pizza. Before, dine-in was allowed, but because of the pandemic and health protocols, you can only take away the pizza. Well, I bet you will like their pizza, I assure you, it is really great!
And lastly, I like their roasted chicken, whenever I shop at SNR, their roasted chicken is always part of my...
Read moreThe S&R Santa Rosa City branch is a popular go-to spot for many residents in the area, offering a warehouse-style shopping experience centered around imported and bulk goods. As with most S&R branches, a lot of the positive reviews highlight the excellent selection of unique foreign items, particularly specialty meats, cheeses, and international snacks that are hard to find elsewhere. The spacious, clean environment is frequently praised, making the overall grocery trip feel less hectic than a typical supermarket visit. The store is well-organized, which helps members navigate the wide aisles and locate products easily. One of the most common points of feedback, which is often a mix of positive and negative, is the famous S&R Food Court. The New York-style pizza, Southern Style Fried Chicken, and hotdogs are huge draws, and many members make a stop here an essential part of their visit. However, this popularity also leads to a frequent complaint across reviews: the long wait times at the food service counter, especially during peak hours like weekends or mealtimes. This can be frustrating for shoppers who just want a quick meal or a slice of their famous pizza. Beyond the food court, other common critiques revolve around the checkout experience. While the staff is generally noted as friendly and helpful, reviewers sometimes mention long lines at the cashier, suggesting the need for more open registers during busy periods. Additionally, as a membership-based store, the value of the membership is often discussed. While people love the quality and foreign goods, some feel the prices on local or standard items can be higher than regular supermarkets, making the membership truly worthwhile only for those who consistently buy the imported, bulk, or specialty products, or who utilize the gas station or tire center services. Overall, it's considered a great destination for a specific kind of shopping, provided you can handle the weekend crowd and the food...
Read moreS&R Nuvali in Sta Rosa, Laguna, is a great place to shop. A membership store that cost about 700 pesos a year to join. The store is huge like warehouse huge. It has just about everything you can want including a superb food court.
Our last visit to S&R we purchased a number of what's called "imported" items from the states. This is just another way of saying we bought brand name items like Tostitos, Folgers (large), good hamburger patties, great cheese and a cooked chicken. You can find deals on larger institutional sized items at S&R. Similar to Costcos in N. America.
My wife and I visit S&R a handful of times a year. The holiday times are really nice. We enjoy the drive there and also because the store is nestled very near to Nuvali mall and lots of great eateries and shops. A perfect place to visit. A good walk, too. And take note of the nearby gas stations as they often give you a 2 peso discount per liter.
And if you're hungry after shopping, try S&R's food court as the cost is affordable plus you get free refills on your sodas. Big cups, too. One of our favorites is a slice of NY pizza; a hotdog to die for; some fried chicken and 2 large drinks of ice tea. Oh, I'm hungry all over again.
You got...
