UCC is a coffee shop which originated in Japan. "UCC" stands for "Ueshima Coffee Company". Its inception dates back to 1933, and it now has a global presence, operating over 20 countries. The company introduced the world's first canned coffee, "UCC Coffee with Milk" in April 1969, which started the trend for canned coffee in Japan. UCC Coffee became famous with otaku (anime fans) around the world after their canned coffee was featured in the 1997 feature film The End of Evangelion.

Read moreThe aroma of coffee always tempts us whenever we pass by this café so we decided to spend an afternoon here 😌 Upon swinging their door, we were immediately met with a welcome from the staff. They let you take a seat first and when you've finally decided your order, the server will come from ringing the buzzer on your table. Yes, they were quite friendly and accommodating. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup on the side, and the serving was huge; and Judy on the Rocks where I loved the sweet frothing on top! Meanwhile my partner ordered the garlic pork steak (too bad I wasn't able to take a pic when it came) and the meat was super tender and it was delicious. I kinda got envious that he made the right choice haha the side vegetables were steamed I think? so the flavors were there. Also the iced sumiyaki was good. Overall the 2 coffees and 2 meals + the cozy ambiance cost us a hefty thousand-peso bill so we will definitely be coming back...

Judy On The Rocks: This is strong coffee when sipped directly from the bottom with a straw, but if done from the rim of the glass, the sweetness of the foam plus the strong coffee flavor balance each other perfectly. It's like enjoying a rocksalt and cheese milk tea.
Rosemary Chicken Crisp: It was a fantastic option for a healthy meal, less the salty fried chicken skin. Rosemary smelled just as good as its actual flavor; so addicting! Salad dressing's balsamic was just as amazing!
Toffee Jelly: With a tempting photo in the menu, this offered the same tasty coffee experience from top to bottom, but I was impressed the coffee jelly still fit the straw with every sip!
Service: You can call a server with the press of a button. Awesome! We also had a fairly good wait time for our food...
