Rich, bold, and exquisite ramen flavor. Authentic Japanese dishes. Affordable, warm, and welcoming. The half ramen and half gyoza set was a great way to experience more of their dishes. The ramen packs a great rich and umami flavor. You can tell how much they perfect the broth for it is also limited(until supplies lasts) The takoyaki is also indulgent and a must try. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great for chats and small intimate gatherings. The place is not that big yet it feels wide.

The Ramen and gyoza were good but the takoyaki was the highlight for me. Very good price range and food portions. The service was a little slow given it was a Saturday night so it was relatively a little busy Definitely a MUST TRY place if you are craving Japanese food here in Tacloban!

We ordered their ramen and takoyaki balls and dumplings which are okay for being here in Taclonan. But there are othe Japanese restaurants in Manila with better tastes. 5 stars for very courteous staff and they gave us free dessert! :)

I needed to sign in ti my google account just to make this review. I’ve eaten in hundreds of places in different continents of the world. I am a ramen fan. I love it, it’s my comfort food. This place butchered the art of it. I am sure they used instant noodles, both noodles and the packet flavoring and just add toppings and maybe some garlic. Their pork topping has the most fat in all the hundreds of ramen I’ve had in my life. I knew it was not gonna be good when I saw the egg. It was hard boiled and not runny! For pete’s sake, a ramen’s egg topping is supposed to be runny. 😩 The price is relatively cheap but standard with the city, however I assumed it was so since they haven’t invested much in the interior of the place. I didn’t know that the actual cost of food itself would be just 30% of the price. It really was a...

By far my favorite asian restauarant in the region. Though the opening schedule would seem odd, it does great justice by serving high quality and authentic japanese food, well pieced together into a great atmosphere by a very ambient atmosphere and interior design. But should there still be doubts for it's Japanese authenticity, among the staff is a japanese themself that has an influence on their management, as far as I know.

5/5. Excellent food and establishment. Even offered me a free dessert simply for appreciating...

I enjoyed the flavorful Spicy Tonkatsu at Otabeya, and the broth, ajitsuke tamago, and pork chashu were delicious. However, the issue with the noodles emitting an ammonia smell was a bit off-putting. It's an aspect that could be improved to enhance the overall dining experience. I recommend that Otabeya consider regularly changing the alkali water used for boiling noodles to prevent alkali concentration. This adjustment could help maintain the quality of the noodles and eliminate the...
