Kitchen2K — Restaurant in Tacloban

1st timer in Tacloban! Sit down menu at this fine resto.

Broccoli Not a huge fan of broccoli but this dish made me finish my greens! Broccoli with a crunch! (I suggest the veggie to have more bite though)

Pineapple Salad Sweet local pineapples made with a twist! Refreshing, tangy but with a spicy and sweet crust on top!

Pani Puri & Tuna Taco Fresh tuna sashimi, with a corn taco that tasted just right!

The Pani Puri was a bomb! Totally exploded in my mouth... sauces were spectacular! I just wanted more!

Lobster Spaghetti Lobster on top of pasta! The pasta sauce ooh-la-la! You could taste the creaminess of the lobster with every bite. (the pasta can be a little more al dente)

Surf and Turf The seabass hit the spot. The basil sauce and the nuts on top was a game changer. Wow!

Ribeye with risotto felt like transporting to a different country! The truffle gave it a different level.

Apple and honey It was so pretty and I didnt want to eat it at first. I was already full but to my surprise... i almost cleaned the plate with the use of my dessert spoon!

Chef Monch, the Staff and the place definitely made a mark on me! Thanks! Highly...

From the moment we arrived at Kitchen 2k, it was clear we were in for an exceptional evening. The ambiance was so enchanting.

The service was impeccable. Staffs was knowledgeable and attentive. They took the time to explain each dish and recommend dishes that matched our taste.

We started with Arancini— the outer layer was crunchy that provides a contrast to the creamy and flavorful interior.

My parents also loved the Truffle Parmesan Fries so much!

We got Green Risotto, Osso Buco and Rice Bowls for our mains.

You can taste the creaminess and how rich the flavor is at the Arborio Rice and it was best paired with the Grilled Chicken.

Osso Buco, this was actually my most favorite dish. The shank was cook to perfection— as in. How I wish I can have 2 servings of this.

We also have Hungarian Sausage and Tapa Rice Bowls.

I’m done seeking with a fine dining experience here in Tacloban, because I already found one! We left with a smile in our faces and we promise to be back here again!

Service was great. Did i mention service was great?

Food was nothing special. Had better. A lot better. And there are a lot of better meals. Price was expensive. Servings were... Well it made you hungry. Not because it tasted amazing. But because the portions where really small.

Sometimes the plate is large but the food portions are really small. Like 25% the size of the dish... i don't know why. Lol

Final words. There are only a few fine dining restaurants in Tacloban. But this is definitely not in the recommended list. Go to Guiseppes. Although i don't like XYZ for using chicken powder seasoning on everything... They are definitely a little better than 2K. Unless you wanna waste some cash then by all means try this place. Eat and tell yourself after... I paid 2k for something that taste so so but man o man they served it like it was gold...

Only reason it gets 1 star more than XYZ. Is at least they don't use chicken seasoning on everything and the service here...
