Breakfast at Antonio's easily takes #1 spot for their food and service. A must try for foodies out there, even just for the experience. Really lives the hype.
Food: 5/5
Potato Salad: 5/5 For starters (pun intended), this salad is already loaded (eggs, potatoes, and carrots). Good for solo, or for sharing up to 3 persons (for light eaters) and it's really good. The dressing and the pulled chicken with bacon bits. This starter might be the end for light eaters.
Eggs Benedict: 5/5 One of the favourites. I've tried their basic with ham, but they also have with salmon (not sure if occasional). Going back, I've really love their Egg Benedict. I might enjoy it more if it's warm, but it's really great overall. Really a must try also!
Smoked Pork Baby Back Ribs with baked beans and cilantro rice: 5/5 The baby back ribs alone is good, it's dry (we prefer saucy), smoky, fork tender, and above average, but combined with the cilantro rice, it leveled up exponentially. They complement each other like match made in heaven.
Dark Chocolate with Peanut Butter Cups Ice Cream: 5/5 The best part of our meal. We're already full but we can't help but be amazed by this little cup full of thick wonderful delight. The totally must try in Breakfast at Antonio's.
Almond Croissant: 5/5 Yummy goodness, a great complement to coffee or cocoa
Service: 5/5
The queue system is good and working, they'll give you a number and qr code to register and for the menu also. They'll text/call you so you can just wait in the car, or take photos at the back like we did. Our server is Allan, but Bernard makes the experience excellent. He's attentive and approachable. Kudos to Bernard.
Overall, it's all about the must tries, it's to upgrade our palate and celebrate our little wins, best to celebrate it here. My wife's highlights are the Potato Salad and Dark Chocolate with Peanut Butter Cups (she's a fan of Reese's though not much of desserts, but the ice cream made her crave for more) My highlights are the Egg Benedict and Dark Chocolate with Peanut Butter Cups. It's our first time to try Egg Benedict and it didn't disappoint. But seriously, all food we ordered tastes exquisite. When's the best time to dine at Breakfast at Antonio's? It's always the best time to dine at Breakfast at Antonio's. Will try their other...
Read moreThe place is always jam-packed and crowded on weekends. So you need to be early if you don't want to wait in line. The ambiance of the resto is somewhat family-oriented. So dont expect a quiet and relaxing ambiance while dining-in. The service is great because there are plenty of servers and waiters/waitresses to attend your needs and requests. With regards to the price of the food, this here is an expensive resto. Expect to pay premium money here since they use quality ingredients and food preparation for every order that comes out of the kitchen. It's just up to you if you think you are getting your money's worth for every bite you take.
Here's what's we ordered:
Hot Swiss Chocolate: 5/5 - The rich, velvety chocolate is so good that will surely make you awake if you're still sleepy from the early morning drive or travel. For me, it's not too sweet, but of course, that will depend on your preferences.
Housemade Corned Beef with Swiss Cheese Omelette: 5/5 - The omelette is cooked perfectly. Soft on the inside while the outside is firm. The corned beef blends well with the swiss cheese and the amount of meat is just enough for me. Not too little and not too much. The hash brown that comes with it is also homemade and not just a store bought one. But is just a bit small for my liking. I would've preferred two pieces of it or a big one since the greens that also came with it is somewhat bland.
Sautéed Corned Beef with Garlic Rice: 5/5 - I love their sautéed corned beef. Let's admit, Antonio's corned beef is one of their best sellers. It doesn't matter what kind of corned beef meal you are ordering coz you'll never go wrong with it. The meat is flaky and soft, the seasoning is right and the the chunks of tomatoes really compliment the whole meal. This one is really a comfort food for breakfast. Makes you want to say... Extra rice please!
Housemade Pastrami: 4/5 - I never had a pastrami before so I'm not sure what to expect. I liked the sandwich, but I find the meat a little salty and dry for me. The horseradish mayo and the swiss cheese tastes okay but still not enough to overcome the saltiness of the sandwich. The potato chips side dish is cold and some are no longer crispy. But I don't care, I'm a potato chip lover so I still...
Read moreThe service and food quality of OG Breakfast at Antonio’s match none of its other branches. You will be greeted by warm greetings from the valet, to the doorman, to the receptionist, and to the main server. Ours was Derick Apostol and you should definitely ask for him. The other servers that attended to us were all either clumsy (I saw the server place his finger inside the asador of the smoked bacon steak I ordered and then his hand touched the glass of my friend as he was serving her big meat breakfast and did not replace it) or forgetful (same server who forgot to punch our additional orders which led to the long wait for the beverage we consumed long after we have finished eating). The manager can also do better. He did not apologize for the long wait time because someone forgot to endorse. Good thing our main server Derick saved the day and apologized for what happened.
As for the food, the eggs were divine perfection; the garlic rice is fluffy even if it is greased with oil. The garlic confit was also great. They perfected breakfast staples. I was not able to try the pancakes because they ran out of batter but I will definitely have this in my next visit. However, the lunch mains could be further improved. They are palatable but not delectable.
Make sure you also grab one of their loaves or pastries. I had the pan au chocolat and the brioche loaf. Far from your regular Bread Talk items.
Overall, the dining experience in this branch is by far one of the most enjoyable ones I have had in my life. While some things can be executed better, the ones they did good were done...
