Can’t even begin to describe the horrific Mother’s Day lunch we had at this place.
I reserved 2 weeks in advance for 9pax. When we get there, we were reserved a table for only 5 people. Because there were no other tables on the ground floor, we were forced to stay at the second floor.
The second floor was sweltering hot. I’m not talking warm, I’m talking sweat dripping down your back and temples type of hot. When I asked the waitress what could be done, ang sagot lang ay, “Mainit po talaga kasi dito Ma’am eh.” Ako pa ang nagsuggest na baka naman pwede maglagay kayo ng electric fan. Alam nyo na palang mainit eh. Bakit hindi niyo pinaghandaan?
When I called 2 weeks prior, I specifically asked if we were to expect another menu for Mother’s Day. 3 days prior, I was texted a link to their Instagram post of their set menu, that read “For your info.” Nowhere in the text or caption did it say that no ala carte orders were to be entertained. On the day of, I called an hour before to confirm if an ala carte menu was available. The person I talked to said a limited ala carte menu was available, which I was fine with.
Lo and behold, we arrive at the restaurant & we were told that no ala carte menu was available at ALL. I asked to speak to the manager and no one wanted to speak to me. I explained that if we had known beforehand, I would have cancelled the reservation entirely. I’m not about to spend 2,500 minimum per head to sit in a literal OVEN for HOURS waiting for LACKLUSTER FOOD to arrive.
We were then eventually allowed to order ala carte. Of course, the food took 1.5-2 hours to arrive. I’m not even kidding. And when they arrived, quality was not even close to decent. Salmon was dry. Burger was greasy and lacked depth. I was beside myself at this point.
Even billing out was crazy and required waiting. The reservation fee of 1000 wasn’t even honored, we had to point it out pa.
Imagine charging your guests 600+ for every dish for such TERRIBLE service, ambiance, and food. Our total bill was 12k+, and safe to say that it was the most useless amount of money we’ve ever spent on what was supposed to be a special meal. If I hadn’t been assertive, we would have been forced to pay 2,500 a head minimum for quite possibly the WORST restaurant experience we’ve ever had in Manila.
I don’t know who runs this place - but clearly the large budget you’ve spent hyping up your restaurant on social media should’ve gone to R&D & service training instead. Literally mid on all fronts. Will never be...
Read moreI messaged/called to reserve a table by the window and was even given a photo of the table arrangement. I also wanted a 7pm reservation but they pointed out that their service was 6-9pm. This irritated me because I felt they were dictating my reservation time. But the reservations staff said they will accommodate me since they're not fully booked. However they kept on repeating to me that they were only open until 9pm. I wanted to cancel my reservation since I was already irate, I didn't because I already paid the P1000 reservation deposit. A policy which I don't agree with because this is not a practice in many restaurants in Metro Manila. But since I already confirmed and paid, I kept my reservation.
I got there 10 minutes before 7pm and was informed that there was no reservation under my name. And the table that I reserved, someone was seated there already. There was no proper coordination between the person getting the reservation and the restaurant staff which results in customers getting mad at the staff at the restaurant who are not even aware of the reservations accepted at the head office.
I want to promote this place because it's near where I live and the ambiance is nice but the customer service of the reservation staff at the head office is disappointing and I do not agree with the policy of paying a reservation fee to confirm reservation. Maybe accept a downpayment for big groups and advance orders. But for 2-4 people, it should be acceptable to reserve and be given a grace period.
The food is good but in terms of value for money,...

We tried the following recommended specialties, cream of mushroom soup, sweet potato fries, oro plato salad, mare di penne alla vodka, mango shake and introductory dishes Japanese cold noodles, tempura, sukiyaki. We started eating as soon as the dishes arrived and only remembered to take pictures when we were nearly finished!
Met the owner in our visit, who was friendly, hospitable and generous, who goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome and appreciated, and was quite hands on with the construction of this incredible place, the food selections, creations and the overall experience.
The restaurant owner shared that she had encountered several bloggers who visited the restaurant and intentionally wrote negative reviews on the spot, to her disappointment. Some of the negative posts are attributed to this.
