Boybabs 199 — Restaurant in Taytay

We visited Boybabs 199 with high hopes, and we must say the food did not disappoint. Everything we tasted was delicious, and the variety of meats and side dishes offered at such an affordable price point was impressive. It’s a sulit Korean BBQ option for groups and families.

However, our experience was overshadowed by an unfortunate incident with one of the male staff members. When we calmly informed them that our rice had been touched by a fly and we couldn’t eat it, the response we received was very upsetting. Male staff raised his voice at us, took a photo of us without our permission, and even attempted to take a video, which was thankfully stopped by one of his female co-workers.

Instead of handling the concern professionally, we were told in a harsh tone that he would review the CCTV, which made us feel disrespected and uncomfortable, especially since we had a pregnant friend with us at that time.

We truly hope that the management can train all their staff to handle customer concerns with more understanding and courtesy. A simple issue could have been resolved peacefully with proper communication and respect.

All of the food is not good except for the potato marble and japchae but I would rate it as 6/10 because it is a bit salty, the service is so disappointing, the cashier is so rude, I only asked questions about where the meats are placed and she seems like she doesn't want to answer my questions. And another thing is that it is even more disappointing while my cousin was still drinking from the glass, she chewed something and said that it has a strange texture, and we we're surprised it was the foot of a cockroach after that she spit it out. When I called the crew, they just apologized and then took the glass, but they didn't even feel shy and didn't replace the glass with water. Even though it's self-service, it's still a shame that they would have at least offered new water right away. Then the kimchi is a bit bitter, it has an aftertaste for me, the kitchen is dirty, the crews are so slow, everything is very greasy, including the utensils. Their store is really messy. That's my honest review, and I will not go to this store again. You better fix your service and maintain cleanliness...

The customer service was very awful. I asked for ice cubes since we avail the 249 food at 1pm so the temperature was hot on that time and girl stated that they dont have ice and they only provide red tea juice that was not so cold so me and my girlfriend was disappointed and I'm thinking that since we're the only customer they dont have to store ice on the icebox and thats unfair for us. Later on, succeding guest are arriving after 20 mins. And I insisted again for an ice and the waiter told me that I could coordinate at the front which I tried to however there's still no ice. I came back twice and they just put alot of ice on the icebox when theres already alot of customers. I was so dissatisfied and we we're very uncomfortable that there was poor sanitation on the area as a lot of flies are flying around and unfortunately one fly landed to our cheese so as my partner got dismayed as its her favorite but already contaminated by an insect.
