We intentionally drove all the way from Mandaluyong to try this restaurant, braving the weekday afternoon traffic. I canât say that the dining experience was a disappointmentâI mean, we had a decent mealâbut nothing amazing really that made the drive and traffic worth it.
The grilled meats on sticks were supposed to be their specialty, but we thought itâs nothing speciall, just ok. We werenât fans of the dipping sauce that came with them. We thought itâs too sweet and lacked sourness. So we âmodifiedâ it by adding vinegar and calamansi.
The calamares was also just ok. Iâd say Iâve had better from those peddled on the streets. Again, not bad at all, but nothing special either.
The bone marrow was good. A bit on the salty side, but quite delicious.
The Tokwaât Baboy was better, with the pork perfectly salted and fried. The tokwa (tofu) were cooked well too.
What was a standout for us was the chopseuy. Probably one of the best weâve had in a long time.
The quality of service was mediocre. The staff were unattentive and were not making any effort to proactively check if customers needed their assistance. We had to make a considerable effort (vigorously waving our hands and clapping) to get their attention. The loud music and the noise outside didnât help. Anyway, back to the staffâthough they werenât impolite or rude, they didnât exude any warmth or friendliness either. Not the type that would inspire/motivate you to leave a generous tip. The service was also slow and serving of food was done haphazardly: our rice wasnât served until more than 10 minutes after the grilled meats were served. Our other orders (chopseuy, calamares, bone marrow) werenât served until past the 20-minute mark.
They do have a good parking area, good for about seven vehicles, and itâs free. And you can even have your car washed here while youâre dining, as they have carwash service too.
Overall, this is a decent restaurant. If youâre nearby, itâs good enough for a hearty meal. But if youâre coming from a far place (ex. QC, Makati, etc), Iâm not sure itâs worth the...
Read moreI live 1.5km away and is my second time to have food delivered from Isaw Haus, Ortigas Ave ext. on the 2 instances I've called the delivery number 6612913, the girl who answers that number always speaks to me in a condescending tone and never got my contact number to get back to me. I let it pass the first time, because the delivery got to my home anyway, but this one instance, delivery took a little longer, so I called again to ask for ETA of our order. in an almost interruptive way and the usual condescending tone, she just said, "1 and a half." nothing more. no 'hours', no 'ma' am', no nothing. I mean, thanks for the good food, but with all due respect, please remind your staff of proper customer service. I've also had instances with unfriendly staff when I used to dine in your restaurant.
Thank you for your action to my concern. I called just now to have food delivered again and all that I have mentioned above were addressed well - she got my name, contact number, gave me an ETA, and most of all, had a very pleasant tone. now...
Read moreIf we didn't follow up for our orders, I don't think our food will arrive. đ
Mind you, our table was on front of the cashier.
When I followed up for the order after 30 mins, the male personnel doltishly answered "what's the order?"
My partner just looked at the personnel, and then as if he remembered the order. đ
Then there was service water given. (They could have served it initially before we followed up)
Food served cold. Meaning they didn't even reheat it ahehe. So what was the wait? The Grilled pork was over-grilled. Lols Felt like you are eating charcoal.
Terrible service. I arrived there with a great mood, only to receive a bad experience from them.
Imagine? You arrived first, and the second, third, fourth, and fifth customers ate before you. đđ So funny.
That was the worst restaurant/dining experience I...
