Crown Hotel and Restaurant — Restaurant in Tuguegarao

This hotel is a gem in the heart of Tuguegarao! We've also checked other accommodations right before coming here but this one caught my fancy! It's not that grand like other big hotels, recently undergone renovation accdg. to an employee, but as soon as we entered the place we felt at home right away! The staff were very welcoming and offered us to see the room. It was small but compact with everything we need.. except it doesn't have bidet spray also no free toiletries! 😉 But what the heck, the rest compensates for what's lacking! The AC's new with flat screen tv, bed is comfortable enough, clean and white towels and sheets, perfect! Separate toilet and bath which is good! We're a group of 4 and the receptionist gave us a room with twin beds and a double deck which is exactly what we needed. Room rates are reasonable too. To top it all, the receptionist who ushered us to our room upon hearing that we're looking for a particular resto ( i just can't remember her name, aww! ) went out of her way to accompany and guide us to Gerry's Grill location which is a bit far from the hotel! For me, that's one act of a great customer service! Being proactive and going beyond what is expected! Thank you, my dear! You added color and good memories in our Tuguegarao...

This hotel is poor in maintenance and hygiene.

PROS: -Location was great since it was just in front of SM Tuguegarao Downtown. -Large bed and it was comfortable. -Aircon works well.

CONS: -Poor hygiene and maintenance . Since the hotel was old I guess they need some renovation and they really need to clean the rooms. Imagine the Bathroom has a stinky smell. Like a canal or something.. i guess it was from the sink tubes that's in there for a decade. The shower head was filthy. That you cannot even touch it. Even the walls in the CR were very dirty. The shower area will be flooded if you took a bath. The Bathroom is very YUCKY that even though we still have more days left in Tuguegarao we chose to check-out early. Because I cannot take the bathroom anymore. WIFI connection is slow. -Shower heater were not working properly. And the water pressure is too low. -Staffs were in a provincial mode. Not so hospitable and welcoming to guests. -Their own garlic longganisa is sweet! Since it was called GARLIC i guess that shouldn't be sweet! 😂

Overall, this hotel needs renovation and cleaning.And please train...

I recently stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms of Crown Hotel. A large portion of the hotel is still undergoing a make over, at least two floors are completed so far.||||The rooms are tidy, with firm bed mattresses and soft pillows. It has a modular cabinet big enough to store most of my belongings. It has a 32" TV with wide selection of cable channels. ||||The bathroom is comfortably spacious, with fine, working instantaneous water heater. ||||The corridor is well lit, but its eerie silence at night somehow gave me some creeps. The veranda portion in the 3rd floor was still under construction at the time of my stay. ||||Inside the compound, there are at least six parking spaces. But at the basement of the Crown Pavilion, the basement parking should be able to accommodate more than 12 vehicles. ||||Free WIFI internet was good by the way.||||Overall, my recent stay was a big improvement from my previous one.
