The first time I set foot at this cafe, I have fallen inlove to the place and its food that it put a smile to my face when I left and made me decide to come back again. Coffee Groove Cafe has become one of my comfort place everytime I decide to unwind from a stressfull day or week from work. I love that it's located distantly from the heart of Dumaguete City, away from traffic and noise. The cafe's ambience is so cozy yet you can still feel at home. The servers and the owner herself are very accomodating and pleasant. Wifi connection is strong and it's free when you dine so you can upload those instagrammable photos of you or the food you ordered in an instant. Talking about food, I am quite too picky to be honest. Being a sweet tooth doesn't always mean anything that tastes sweet is good for me. My love for cakes doesn't set aside the "picky-ness" I have when it comes to choosing which to eat. But, at this cafe? Their cakes are so good at a very reasonable price. I love their Choco Gummy Cake and Salted Chocolate Caramel cake the most! They also have varieties of cookies for those cookie monsters out there. If you're a pasta maniac like me, try their Carbonara and tell it to my face literally if you don't like it. Their Batangas brewed coffee compliments well with Milk and their Hot Chocolate is concentrated, blends well with milk that creates a very milky-chocolatey taste that I also love as well. They have more options of hot and cold drinks from their menu by the way. If you are into tea like I do, you can check out their packed imported teas and enjoy it with the cake of your choice. Overall, my satisfaction is obviously not low and I highly recommend this place. The only downside that I can find for now is their availability or their store hours. They open late and closes early. I know for sure that the owner has a more valid reason to decide on their schedule but I could adjust anytime. I am looking forward though that they will be open 24 hours...
Read moreThe cafe overall is quite nice, cozy and particularly the ambiance is just beautiful especially when they make use of pieces of vinyl as for aesthetic decorations like the large album art, they even use a vinyl player to play some tunes inside the cafe. There’s even some vinyl albums you can look, browse and read while you sip your coffee, about the food and of course coffee situation, it’s all great I ordered Cappuccino (Php 81) and paired it with a carbonara dish. The coffee was quite good although if you prefer more content then I would go for the cold variant which is only Php 89 (8 peso difference from the Hot cappuccino but you get more), there’s also a handy sugar and even artificial sweetener sachets in a dispenser on every table. The Carbonara was quite of okay, presentation was fine but it was lacking more salt which was the only problem, the dish came with a complimentary toasted bread and it was quite shockingly tasty and quite big for a toast, which I liked. The Lemon Tea Cake was really good and utterly tangy with that extra kick of sourness combined with the sweetness of it in a steady transition, highly recommend.
Overall this place is really a must when it comes to a cozy and literally away from the suburbs of Dumaguete kind of café, highly...

Whether with cream, sweetened or plain black, you have to experience Coffee Groove yourself. If you haven’t gone there yet, anytime is just about perfect for a blend. After all, it’s better...
