Samgyupsalamat — Restaurant in Zamboanga City

Visited this restaurant for the first time on April 28,2024 for a birthday celebration. Its a 3+1! Meaning the celebrant eats for free and the 3 adult pays regular which is 599 . Kids pay 325 i think. If they are below 3 feet tall.

Too many sides, which is good. And then we were asked for the first 3 meats. I asked the staff to give me the top 3 meats they have or whatever is best seller. They gave me a Beef Bulgogi which is definitely the best in any Korean Resto. And other 2 pork meats. So the grilling starts.... and you have 2 hours to feast on that unlifood

The griller is so slow and its as is. You cannot make it any hotter or cook faster. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to fully cook/ grill the meat. And we have 3 plates of meat to cook. So it was about 1 hour or so to fully cook all 3 plates of meat. Other korean restaurant ive been too wasnt like this, you can adjust the burner power to cook faster.

So we ended up eating a few piece of meat... then 3 of us waits for about 15 minutes for eat more. Most of the time our plates were empty and just waiting for the meat to cook. And will just munch on the sides.

In the end, we ended up ordering another 2 plates of meat...another bulgogi and pork samgyup.

I wish this resto had more powerful adjustable griller so you dont end up with an empty plate, 4 person on a single slow burner will end up not max8mizing the unlimited part for 2 hours really.

Giving them a 3 since serving of the meat is taking longer than usual ( the resto was not that busy) . Their meat was tasty & tender/ Not happy with their side dishes though ( like there were few options only) . I understand they were still on their soft opening so hope they can improve more on our next visit.
