Dreadful service but delicious Kare-Kare!
Came here on a Sunday after Christmas day. I was expecting the place to be packed and it was. I waited at the door expecting someone to come to me and inform me that they were full and to ask me if I would like to wait but no one cared to even look at me while I was clearly showing the servers passing by that I intend to dine in. I came inside the packed place and chanced upon an empty table that was still left in disarray after being used. Since no one cared to usher me to any table, I politely sat and waited for one of the service crew to tidy up the table and provide the menu. 10 mins in and my family already came in and sat with me, not one crew cared to look in our direction. Everyone just seemed to be occupied serving or just staying in the counter. I struggled to get the attention of one server. After I finally got the attention of one, he dropped the menu on our table and hurried off. After deciding what to other, another struggling round of calling the staff was upon us. A hurried staff who just finished serving a nearby table dropped by to answer our questions about the food availability but didnt bother to take our order. Another staff camd in to take our order in the most hurried fashion. around 20 minutes after placing our order food was served. Unfortunately it wasnt our order. It was the other table. After another 20 minutes we finally had our food served.
We had the Crispy Spareribs, Kare Kare. Fried Rice and Halo-Halo for dessert. I wanna say the food was good. In fact, their Kare- Kare was great and tasted better than the ones I had in Cebu at bigger restaurants. It had more meat than veggies ehich was a huge plus for me however the spareribs serving was just too tiny. The amount we paid was just half of what you'd normally expect. It was almost insulting to be served that little. It tasted good but just served in ridiculous amount. Halo-Halo was too sweet for my taste. Felt like it had more sugar than the usual.
Come here for the Kare-Kare but bring with you lots of patience. I cannot stress enough how bad the service can get on...
