Pub Tawerna Port — Restaurant in Częstochowa

I used to drink there in 2000 4 Irish Students who spent 3 months in Czestochowa. We spent 3 or 4 nights a week drinking there often more. If it wasn't for our last night there I would say it was one of the best bars I have been to in the world. The clients are some of the loveliest people I have ever met in the world. On our last night we wanted all our Czestochowa friends together in our favorite bar. We had three friends from Yemen, Syria and Egypt. We asked them to come and they politely said no. We insisted and discovered why. We can't go there. We couldn't understand and were very naive. We forced them to go and got permission for one night to allow them in. One off the biggest regrets of my life. Racist owner. Lovely clientele.

One of those places where you like to return even after many years. Small and cosy place with very interesting interior. Tawerna is the legendary bar in Częstochowa having quite long history. The only bar which survived prohibition times on Dekabrystów street keeping it's good old mood. Mainly thanks to the owner who is a real Capitain who never abandoned his ship. Tawerna Port wciąż jest i ma się dobrze. Jeden z najlepszych pubów na mapie Częstochowy niezmiennie od 25 lat. Niesamowity marinistyczny styl, piękne modele statków, ogromne akwarium i naprawdę dobrze wykorzystane wnętrze przy akompaniamencie szant. Od czasu do czasu także na żywo! Warto dodać, że Tawerna ma najlepszy wybór Whisky w całej Częstochowie i barmana, który naprawdę się na nich zna. Koneserom tego trunku nie da się polecić lepszego miejsca w mieście Świętej Wieży. Jednocześnie warto wspomnieć, że mamy tu też dobry wybór piw (także rzemieślniczych), oraz oczywiście dobre piwa na kranach - w tym Guinnessa! Dla spragnionych rozrywki innej, aniżeli tylko rozmowa, w Tawernie znajdziemy szeroki wybór planszówek, a dla zmarzluchów - ciepłe koce. Warto podkreślić schludność miejsca i dbałość o czystość przez barmana Marcina. Łazienka jest duża i zawsze czysta. Mamy tam płyn antybakteryjny, mydło , krem do rąk, czy jednorazowe nakładki na muszlę klozetową. :) Na koniec warto dodać, że po sąsiedzku znajduje się Mega Pizza, więc z ciepłym posiłkiem w Tawernie nie ma problemu, ale też jeśli chodzi o przekąski, to zawsze znajdą się w lokalu chipsy, paluszki, czy orzeszki.
