Marmolada Chleb i Kawa — Restaurant in Gdansk

TLDR; Super long wait time, mediocre food that was rushed, I've never been to a restaurant with worse customer service. Just go somewhere else for food and save your time and money.

Went to the restaurant for my mum's last day on holiday and was hoping for a similar experience to when I last went.

This was a big mistake...

When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated within 10-15 mins, which was fine, but that's when the issues began. The waiter had completely forgotten about us and we waited 30+ minutes just to order our food.

After ordering we then waited an additional 30 mins after which we asked when our food would be arriving. The waiter said that it would be around 5-6 minutes. Unsurprisingly, after another 25 minutes of waiting there was still no food. We then asked again and shortly after only received 1 of 3 meals we were supposed to get.

So whilst one person was enjoying the meal the other 2 were just waiting to get the food. After what seemed like forever and with the food almost completely eaten, the other 2 meals arrived.

When we received the meals after a long 90 minutes, they were very disappointing. The quality was bad probably because they had completely forgotten about us and had rushed to get our food out.

The server also didn't apologize once whilst we waited for our food during the whole time we were at the restaurant. We never got any indication of when the food was coming out of the kitchen, we had to ask the server, and the server didn't even seem to care.

For a 2 hour wait and for PLN 50 per person, you can find other restaurants in the area that give a much better service and food.

Overall, it ruined the breakfast that I had planned for my mum on her last day of the holiday and took up more time that we could've used to go somewhere else before she left.

I would give a zero if I could. Just save your time and money and go to...

We went to MHK because a friend recommended the waffles. My first impression was very positive; nice interior, cosy. But then the service didn't come to us for 15 minutes (until I asked wether this was self service or not) and was really unpleasant. It took them a while to prepare a sandwich which my boyfriend ordered; I had to leave to a doctor's appointment already, so I sent the coffee back, which only came with the food. Later the service forgot about us three times; when we wanted to order, when we have ordered already, and for the bills. They charged us for the Americano, which we have sent back. Finally, we decided to talk to the owner of the place. He did nothing but self-justify. I will spare the details at this point. In the end we had the recommended waffle (which came after 7 minutes and 33 seconds, so that was a pleasant surprise) which was not that good apart from...

This place was recommended to me but sadly didn't meet the expectation. We were welcomed quickly and placed at a table outside. We ordered breakfast and coffee and even though the place was not busy at the moment the coffee took around 15 minutes to be brought to the table (came after food) The lattes had no spoons which is common for this kind of drink. The waffles ware first pretty good and tasty but after like a third we realized that it was so much majo on so that it was too hard to continue eating (see picture how the majo flows on the side) Overall it was not too bad but I sadly couldn't feel the hype that was recommended. Staff was friendly but maybe a little overwhelmed because nothing happened really after we asked for the bill (as I said it was not crowded) and I went after like 10 minutes inside to pay.
