The food was so so, service great, atmosphere OK and hipster like. But the food,... where to begin.
Not authentic at all. Pad Thai is super sweet and lacks the umami expected. Chicken was super dry and not seasoned, only tossed in the wok after being prepared long before. May have been 'old', it wasn't warm nor fresh... currently stomachs are a little upset.
Dim sum dumplings served with an Indian curry sauce... whyyy? The taste wasn't bad, but not desirable either... dumpling wrapper was overcooked and simply falling apart and all the nice broth inside wasted...
Korean fried chicken, good taste, spicy. Buuut DROWNING in sauce. It was not crispy at all... Korean fried chicken should have sticky coating, not a runny sauce... rice was over cooked and stale like it was cooked in the afternoon and served at dinner.
Overall the vibe and tastes aren't bad, but when reading the menu and wanting authentic Asian dishes, it was a total disappointment. Yet to see if a tummy ache will develop from the old cold chicken pieces...
Read moreHad a Tom Kha and the Chili Basil, yet somehow the Tom Kha was more "spicy" while it shouldn't be. I guess the chili was forgotten in the chili basil. It was just sweet and there was literally no spicyness to be found in it at all. The chicken I ordered as an addition to the Chili Basil was the worst I've eaten in any restaurant, as it was very chewy and dry, and had to use my drink to flush it (not exaggerating). The green curry dish (also not spicy at all) did have normal prepared chicken in it, so I don't know what happened here. Unfortunately I did not order that one.
All in all, the 3 stars still because the soup was good, and the curry I've took a taste of was good taste-wise, just do not expect spicy.
Do make sure to keep your quality a bit...
Read morepretty good, the inside is beautiful (not here to rate it, the food is always more prioritised in my books) the portions were big, lemonade was crazy good (probably the best ive drunk ever) and also had a natural taste (as for not enhanced), curry was okayish id say, nothing special, as it was said by someone 'achievable at home'. also the others i was at the restaurant with stated that food was too sweet (probably sugar added). the hype coming is probably bc most people havent eaten anything asian before. i dont know whether they have bilingual employees or not since im native, but most likely. would i go here for another time? a hard question, but most likely yes. try it...
