I will start this review by saying that I go to Texas at least once a year and I have been to Mexico several times. I know good Mexican food, and I was looking forward to trying this place because of the rave reviews, but this is not Mexican food. Maybe Polish food inspired my tex-mex. The seasoning is way too harsh and unbalanced. The bean soup had way too much cumin and the chimichanga was spicy just for the sake of being spicy, there was no subtlety to the flavors, you couldn’t taste the chipotles or jalapeños just a kick of unnecessary spice. Also they have the worst Mexican rice, it’s just dull rice mixed with tomatoes sauce. I didn’t try the cocktails, but I will not return to this place. The lunch menu is okay value. I had a similar experience to another customer where there were plenty of tables empty and the server wouldn’t sit me because they had “reservations” in an hour, I told him that I was just having a quick lunch, but he still made me sit in the bar. The place is well decorated and it does feel like a Mexican cantina...
Read moreI definitely do not recommend this place for company parties! I wanted to organize a team dinner at Pueblo for 18 people, but they demanded a 3,000 zł payment upfront just to reserve the table. This is absolutely unreasonable. Why should I pay 3,000 zł just to hold a spot? If it were 400-500 zł, that would have been fine.
The most absurd part is that they stated if we didn’t spend the full 3,000 zł, they wouldn’t refund the difference. How can they assume we’d spend that much? What if we’re all light eaters? It felt like I was booking a wedding venue, not a dinner reservation.
To make matters worse, it’s winter and a Tuesday night, so plenty of tables would likely be available. Ultimately, it’s their loss. I wouldn’t recommend this place—not because of their food, which is great, but because of their condescending...
Read moreI must say it's good to see some things (places) never change. I used to come to Pueblo a lot when I was in my late teen years in high school. We did spend a lot of pocket money on the frozen Margaritas! After that, last time I visited must have been 10 years ago or so... and I just went now on my recent visit to Gdynia, about a week ago. I revisited some of my favorite dishes that I remembered tasted sooo nice and they still do, like the soup: cream of beans! Still very yum after all these years!!! Frozen drinks 🍸 still as I remember them and plenty of alcohol in each which isn't a given.... I have been to places where they think you will not notice but they try to skin you on your alcohol levels. Not here! Be aware that it gets super super crowded, so make sure you're there nice and...
