Rydla 52 — Restaurant in Szczecin

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Café Rydla 52 in Szczecin, Poland, on Saturday, 21/12/24 and I must say it was a delightful experience. My partner's cousins took us to this cozy spot, which was conveniently located near our accommodation. I ordered the steak with salad, and it was absolutely wonderful—cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My partner opted for the steak and fries, and the waitress recommended the Rydla 52 gravy to go with it. Let me tell you, that gravy was superb and complemented the steak beautifully One of the highlights of the evening was my drink: a traditional tea infused with spices like rosemary, cloves, lemon, cranberries, and honey. With a sore throat and a bit of a cough, this tea was not only soothing but also incredibly delicious. It truly made my evening better Several of us also ordered pasta, which came in generous portions—so much so that we couldn’t finish it! Overall, Café Rydla 52 offered a fantastic dining experience with great food, cozy ambiance, and attentive service. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Szczecin!

I don't give 5 starts for food only because I give 5 stars only to very unique places and foods They do serve very good food, and it is definitely worth visiting. From outside, it is hard to make decisions about entering the restaurant, but it is a great place, so give a try. Beef tartar was just perfect. Super fresh and perfectly balanced with pickled vegetables and specialty sauce. Beef tartar is served with "home baked" bread - don't start me on this one. If I could, I would just shop for bread there forever. "Zurek"- polish rye soup was probably one of the best I ever had - and I had many. It was slightly smoked and very hardy. Just the bowl of it was enough of the meal, but remember, polish dinner is a combination of soup and second dish. Hamburger was very good as well. Although meat was a bit overcooked for me (I like my burgers medium rare), flavor and texture were very nice. Dressing of the burger and bun is very satisfying as well. Tempura shrimp salad is an excellent "light food" choice. I must say that bartender also knows how to mix it, so don't be afraid to order a nice cocktail I absolutely recommend and don't get discouraged by outside appearances and...

Kolejna wizyta i po raz kolejny mieszane odczucia. Stąd w końcu publikacja opinii. To pozytywna recenzja ale jak regularny gość widzę stałość niedociągnięć. Standardy lokalu/ obsługi nie nadążają za obłędnym wręcz poziomem kucharzy. Niedzielne popołudnie, gości w lokalu niemało ale daleko do pełnego obłożenia. Przy wejściu grupa tłoczących się ludzi(kilka grupek czekających na wejście). Wyraźna pisemną prośba,żeby czekać na obsługę ale ta bardzo niechętnie zbiera się z głębi restauracji. Cały proces niepotrzebnie się przeciąga a puste stoliki widoczne są od drzwi powodują niezrozumienie dla czasu oczekiwania i pewnego rodzaju oburzenie czekających. Niewielkie ale jednak.

Ogólnie stan sali przywołuje na myśl hale żywieniową z galerii handlowej. Mnóstwo stolików nieposprzątanych po gościach którzy wyszli już chwile temu. Chusteczki, frytki, mąka(oby) czy resztki surówki na podłodze w sumie w całym lokalu. Zaproszono nas we dwie osoby do stolika dla 6 osób. Fajnie, że luźno ale chyba można dysponować zasobami lepiej. Stolik " przetarty" ale dalej tłusty i lepiący (po zgłoszeniu, zdziwieniu: "przecież było dopiero wytarte",wytarty ponownie i okej) ale z krzeseł okruchy nieposprzątane, owoce pod krzesłem i wspomniana mąka. No brudno. Tyle. Wyraźnie brak kierownika sali, który młodemu, bardzo sympatycznemu personelowi przypomni o schematach postępowania i obsługi klienta. Wiadomo, że lepiej pracować mniej niż więcej za to samo ale to rola szefa, żeby jednak było zrobione.i tyle. To wszystko obniża poziom " doświadczenia restauracyjnego". To nie byle garkuchnia a bardzo przyjemna restauracja, brak tylko kropki nad "i". Będę wracał,bo najważniejsza jest kuchnia. O tej nie będę pisał za dużo. Broni się sama i całego lokalu. Dania pyszne. Zaplanowane jako ciekawe i niebanalne połączenia. Świetnie wykonane. Ładnie podane. Porcja dobra, cena adekwatna do dania na talerzu. Nie polecam jedynie burgera. To nie miejsce na to. 3 próby i 3 wtopy. Nie każdy musi umieć wszystko. Pyszna cytrynowa lemoniada.
