I would be happy to recommend this place, but I can't sorry. Well, of course neither its location nor design suggests anything particular, but according to my experience it often may indicate a hidden jewel... Not this time, however.
Dal Makhani I got here was probably the worst one I ever ate. To be clear: it was edible, but noting more and by no means tasty (moreover, some beans were hard). Puri bread was Ok (hard to be spoilt, though)
Another dish I ordered was "Special meat Lahore biryani", which was also virtually tasteless. While it still had some aroma in the nose, there was almost none in the mouth. Worse still, it contained not a grain (literally!) of chili, although I asked it to be spicy/hot. Other spices were detectable - and detectable only. Perhaps it would be even quite good if the chef was more generous - but he wasn't.
I must admit lamb meat pieces were quite good, but it was not enough to defend the whole dish. The same addresses to the (little portion of) assisting raita.
For this very reason I give 2, not 1 star. Overall, however, I would rank this place definitely below the peer average and have no incentive to return here.
PS. I don't have any pics of dishes i had, just because none was worth capturing. For the avoidance of doubt: they look as they should and are served in original vessels, as elsewhere. Nothing to be criticised here. But for me, ultimately it is the taste, not the look of the dish...

Read moreLadies and gents beware! Twice within a year I’ve got food poisoning from this place. I’m trying to be open minded and not follow stereotypes about hygiene etc so I ate at several Indian/pakistani restaurants. the first time I got a very bad food poisoning with abdominal pain, fever that lasted 1,5 day, just after eating chicken pakora. I blamed it on the spoiled egg I ate at home even though it occurred next day after visiting this place.
Second time unfortunately there is no doubt I got sick from eating the lentil soup and a cheese naan. I’m nauseous even typing it, and I couldn’t sleep from nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. mind you it wasn’t even meat that I ate! So who knows what do they do that you get sick from eating a bowl of lentil soup. I guess sometimes they get away with the malpractice and people enjoy their food, but I’m sure there are more cases like me! I am seriously considering calling SANEPID at this point. Personally I would expect a refund on the meal that made me sick. And I would never go there...
