Pho Mai — Restaurant in Warsaw

I don’t usually leave reviews, but our recent visit to Pho Mai was honestly disappointing. We were looking forward to a good meal, but unfortunately, our experience was far from smooth.

After placing our order, we waited patiently for quite a while, only to notice that customers who arrived after us were already being served their food. At first, we thought perhaps their orders were simpler or quicker to prepare, so we continued to wait. But as time passed, it became clear something was wrong.

We decided to approach the cashier to ask about the delay, and that’s when we found out the reason: our order receipt was mistakenly covered by newer receipts, so the kitchen hadn’t even started preparing our food. It was frustrating to realize that we had been overlooked entirely because of this mix-up.

Mistakes can happen, and we understand that, but it would have been appreciated if someone had noticed the delay or at least checked in with us. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive to what was happening in the dining area.

While the food at Pho Mai might be good (we hope to find out someday), this level of service left a bad impression. We hope the management takes steps to improve their order-tracking system and customer service to prevent this from...

I have been in this shop 3 times, and all I have, was a very bad experience. First time, I made order and payment. Then I went to my table and waited. When a group of 8 people came, they made order and they got first. After they finished their meal, we still didn't get our order. When we asked the boy, he just ignore us. Then we came to ask the lady, she said sorry and gave us our order. It's a bad experience but since the res just opened, so ok, we will forgot about it.

Second time, honestly after 1 month, same thing happened, the boy also forgot my order again. After about 20 minutes waiting and asking (they seem too busy to handle) And this time, I couldn't accept it. I asked for the refund and went to another restaurant to eat.

Third time, my friend really wanted to eat there. So ok, this time we got our food finally. But after the meal, both me and my friends got food poison (it was breakfast so definitely we didn't eat anywhere else). So I decided it is the last time I eat there for sure.

First off, the restaurant looks clean and inviting. There are quite a few tables, and while we were waiting for our order the place started filling up. Despite that, our food came pretty quickly. The Bún chả was amazing! The vermicelli noodles were bouncy and the greens fragrant. The star of the meal is definitely the tender meat in a rich broth which ties the flavors together perfectly. The tom yum was nice as well with a variety of additions and the portion was very generous. The menu is also worth noting as it has lots of Vietnamese dishes that I haven’t seen elsewhere in Warsaw.
