If you have an OCD this is not for you, but if you are looking for real Chinese food, you should give it a try. Simple, authentic, far from gimmic, too creative ingredients and overprice service.
Their Biang-Biang noodle is my all time fav.
🍜 FOOD:
Biang Biang Noodle (has become my mandatory food whenever I visit Warsaw.)
This time, we all 3 ordered Biang-Biang Noodle (sorry Roger, this one is not for share). It is a simple Chinese noodle with chilli oil and garlic seasoning, yet the great technique makes the perfect chewy texture of the noodle, on point spices (I am Asian, so I am not exaggerating). I have tried their other "more complicated" noodle dishes but I always come to holy Biang-Biang. Perfect for summer.
Please dont't have them take-away, the texture will be hard at home and this review will sound nonsense, they are meant to be consumed fresh.
Since it is literally just noodle, I recommend to order other side dishes, my go-to is their cold beef slice and cucumber salad, they are just perfect Chinese combo, plus we add some beef dumplings.
Cold beef Despite the flavourful test, the beef is for me, however a little bit dry. My expectation is that the cuts should be flavourful yet not overcooked. Based on my experiences eating Chinese sliced beef, they still have some juiciness on the inside, unless this restaurant has their own style which I think is fried #CMIIW
We ordered one big portion and I think it is meant to be for 2 ppl, for 3, you kinda put your friendship at risk. Justice should prevail.
Cucumber salads and beef dumplings Dumplings come with 12 pieces, very generous, traditional and fresh. Cucumber salad is top notch!
🧑🏻🍳Service: The casheer+ waiter lady is very sweet and friendly, always smiles when I come. Just don't be surprise when the chef guy comes to serve you the food with his apron covered with flour stain. I guess it is part of their authenticity, adding the street food and homemade vibe 😁 We were also greeted by the grandma to our table, so cute :)
In rush hours esp weekend, sometimes you need to wait in the line, do not be discouranged. It is worth it.
I just want to say thank you for everyone who brings delicious food to this world. You know you bring...
Read moreAs a Chinese who is living in European, I traveled to Warsaw and tried this restaurant. I can say this noodle restaurant as a small bistro, is one of the best. The food is really really authentic, homemade and hand made. Don’t have so many choice as a normal Chinese restaurant, but really worth the price.
PS. If you want ramen, don’t go there, go to some Japanese restaurant, if you want pho, go to a Vietnamese restaurant. And for Polish people, this is not a soup restaurant(Chinese don’t drink the noodle soup) 😂.
Regarding the noodle: noodle is usually eaten / most popular in north China, so it is mostly stock noodle/or noodle made from flour. In south China is more rice noodle/ glass noodle.
Regarding the dumplings: Chinese dumplings are way more juicy. The fillings are usually pork+ vegetables. As dipping sauce you will get some soya + vinegar+(chili). Don’t expect you will have potatoes or cheese inside or you get some polish...
Read moreFood The food tastes homemade, not like in a restaurant. Because of that, in my opinion, it lacks a certain flair. It’s just regular food. Lots of dough-based dishes. The portions are big—you leave feeling full. For steamed buns, meat with rice, soup, and one tea, it cost 82 złoty.
Atmosphere Located on the ground floor of a residential complex. Inside, one staff member was making dumplings at a table, while another was having lunch with headphones on, staring at their phone. There were a few customers, but not many in the first half of the day. The place is clean and quiet.
Service A woman brought the menu and said you order and pay at the counter. She speaks both Polish and English and was generally friendly. The other staff had neutral expressions. The food arrived about 5–7 minutes after ordering.
Overall: Don’t expect too much from this place. But if you’re nearby and want a quick bite—it’s worth...
