Naam Thai — Restaurant in Warsaw

A bit overpriced and very slow service.

We had to wait 45 minutes for the starter - fried dumplings, even though we ordered steamed dumplings...but we were starving and we let this pass. Then we had to wait another 45 minutes for the main dish. In total we spent 1h30' waiting for our food.

We had a coconut soup that was ok, nothing out of the ordinary, we had better ones in Thailand for half the price. And two things: the soup was without noodles and the lemongrass was cut in very small pieces (the way it shouldn't be, because is too hard to chew and swallow) making it difficult to eat.

The other main course was glass noodles with vegetables and prawns. Again, very basic dish but very expensive - you could tell the prawns were not fresh.

All in all, we were unsatisfied with the quality of the food and outraged with the excesiexely long waiting time. No restaurant, even the best ones, should keep you waiting 1h30'...

I came here on a Saturday for lunch without a reservation and we go lucky! The place filled up fast, if we had come any later we wouldn’t have gotten a table easily. The staff were friendly although they didn’t speak any English but the menu did have English translation so that was great.

For starters we had duck soup and prawn salad and they were great. For mains we had veg pad Thai, green and red Thai curries with chicken which were great and they come with a bowl of rice although that’s not specified on the menu and for dessert it was mango sticky rice. The food was good really good

I think the one set back was that 2 of us got starters and one person didn’t so he got his main when we were having starters and then he was served dessert before we even got our mains.

The location is nice a little bit hard to find and confusing but nonetheless you’ll find it. Prices...

I used to order take away from that place, from time to time. Food is ok, but there are better , 'more thai tasting ' places in Warsaw. Today I've decided to eat dinner there, wih my partner and 2 kids. How surprised I was ,when I saw they've added 10% service fee to a bill ( we were just small group of 4) That normaly would not be a problem, if not the fact, that waiter did not mention it when accepted quite a on top of that. I left with unpleasant feeling of being charged twice for the service, that was actually very poor. Waiter shown no interest in us, we had to go to counter to ask for additiinal drink, or final bill... I do not recommend, the place is...
