El Gordito — Restaurant in Wrocław

It is not 'MEXICAN', it is PoleMex. I don't think the cooks even looked up real recipes from the US or TexMex. The taco was more like a barbecue in a corn tortilla. VERY tomatoey. You have to pay for the terrible chips and the pico de gallo! No real salsa here. In the USA the chips and salsa always come free with the meal. The 'sauce' was so tiny it was insulting to pay for it! I guess if you are 20 years old and have never been to the US or Mexico, you could be fooled this is Mexican food. The burrito had some weird sweet taste in it. Their other 'sauces' as they call them, are terrible...some tiny mango thing and the other was a tiny guac thing. Both bad. ...

Ordered tacos for pick up, and my wife and I tried the pollo, adobada, al pastor, and chili con carne. They all were great. - even the chili con carne, which I’d never seen in a taco before. I’m from Southern California and these are the best tacos I’ve tried so far in Wroclaw. The corn tortillas were delicious, not dry at all, and all the other ingredients tasted fresh. I was surprised that there was pineapple in the adobada (I think it was this taco), but it tasted great. The sweetness of the pineapple worked well with the other ingredients. Finally, we tried the food here. Everything was very tasty! Although we asked for a higher spice level, the dishes weren't that spicy🌶. Maybe they could offer extra sauce or cut chillies so people can decide their own spice level. The employees were friendly and spoke English. We were surprised that there was a second dining room. Music, decor, and atmosphere transport you to Mexico 🇲🇽 with a modern twist. Would like to come back, but since I'm diabetic I need to be careful with this kind of delicious fast-food 😋...
