Six of us had a meal just now, our third visit this week. Sadly you got it badly wrong tonight. Five meals were delivered, my lasagne was missing. After a while they realised and a few minutes later, an undercooked (cold) lasagne was delivered. And returned. They said they would cook me a fresh one. Quite a long time afterwards, the second lasagne was delivered. It was hot in parts, and cold in parts. I sent it back. By this time the other five diners had finished their meals. I was offered something else - I ordered the spaghetti gamberetti which arrived at the same time as my friends’ desserts. I was told ‘your dinner is at no charge’. So far so good - a reasonable way of dealing with a justifiable complaint. The spaghetti gamberetti was hot - hooray! So when the bill came - which one of my friends paid - they had ‘kindly’ not charged me for the gamberetti which I had eaten 45 minutes after everyone else on the table had finished - they simply charged me for the lasagna - which was cheaper. So 3 euros compensation for a shoddy meal - very poor service. And not what they told us they were going to do. My complaint is not about what we paid for the meal - rather the way in which they handled it - compounded by saying one thing and then doing another. The evening was spoilt for everyone - and the restaurant did not deal with this in a satisfactory manner. I would struggle to return to their restaurant because of their poor treatment of us. I don’t suppose they care - we’re here on holiday. And won’t be back. Poor show. If the restaurant would like to know how they should have dealt with this - it’s simple. Apologise - for forgetting one of the orders. Then apologise again for twice delivering a cold meal. And finally don’t charge for any of the meal - when that is what you said you were going to do. This was truly appalling....
Read moreMy husband, daughter, and I went to have pizza here last night around 7 PM. I had the Papa Martino, my daughter had one with pineapple, and my husband had one with chorizo, peppers, olives, etc.
When we got the pizzas, we immediately noticed a funny smell. We thought it might just be the cheese and assumed it was okay. We each ate a few slices, but the bad smell persisted and even got stronger. It smelled like expired meat, cheese, and vegetables.
Instead of saying something, we thought it couldn't be possible that we were served spoiled food in a restaurant. So, we didn't mention anything and assumed we were just overreacting to the cheese smell.
My daughter ate a little, I had a good portion of my pizza, and my husband left two slices of his large pizza.
On our way home, I started feeling nauseous and thought I might throw up. Once we got home, I vomited and felt a lingering discomfort in my stomach throughout the night and even today. My daughter went to bed with a stomachache and woke up feeling sick. My husband started feeling nauseous around 2 AM and vomited from 3 AM to 5 AM. This morning, he's still not feeling better, has cramps, and now has diarrhea.
I regret not trusting our gut feeling and sending the food back. Last night cost us 60 euros, which felt like money thrown away.
It was a terrible experience. And i dont understand the chef or waiters were not smelling the same thing...
Read moreThis was unfortunately the worst experience I have had in Portugal in recent years.
Although the food itself was normal and I used to visit this restaurant every 1–2 months, what happened today was completely unacceptable. When I was leaving, a delivery worker from the company Master Italy parked his truck in the middle of the road, blocking my car. At first, I tolerated it, but when I signaled with my horn (shortly, then a longer 10-second honk), the driver simply ignored me. He looked at my car, but then walked straight into the restaurant to make his delivery.
I waited inside my car for 10 minutes, but he never came back. Finally, I had to enter the restaurant and ask the staff to find him — only then did he reluctantly move his vehicle. This delay wasted my time unnecessarily. It was obvious that the driver preferred to chat with the staff instead of respecting other road users.
Parking in the middle of the road illegally, blocking cars, and ignoring drivers is not only rude but also dangerous. I do not know the exact relationship between this restaurant and the Master Italy delivery company, but such behavior is unacceptable.
If there is no reasonable response from the restaurant, I strongly urge tourists not to dine here. Should this ever happen again, I will have no choice but to report directly to the police.
👉 I expect the management to address this matter seriously.
Esse atraso fez-me perder tempo desnecessariamente.
