My husband and I booked to play the cute looking 9 hils course on an amazing cliff, sadly we didn’t ask what dress codes there was at this course as appreciate usually there usually are and I showed up on a v neck T-shirt ( big mistake) and was not allowed to play which was terribly disappointing but also the lady who dealt with us was also very rude and very unfriendly so this of course ruined my experience at this course as a guest for the first time. Plus I did’nt want to spend €80 on a collared T-shirt from their shop just to get to play a round of golf, which was my only choice at this time - perhaps this is why they do this!?
So the course lost out on my revenue as they wouldn’t let me play and left me disappointed and disgruntled by the lady on the desk ( which was yesterday at 2pm).
It was totally my fault for not asking the dress code but also I would suggest to you Pine Cliffs Golf Course that maybe best to train your staff to advise visitors when booking tee times. Secondly I would suggest ( as I know other clubs do this) that you use lost stock items or a spare box of clothes that a visitor could borrow if they so wish therefore there is a win win situation for everyone - I hope this feedback can help to not have aggravated visitors going forward and ensure only positive reviews on here as you deserve this.
Prices for the course are fair and the scenery is incredible as I walked around with my husband and the course is well maintained which I would have given usually a 5 star review if it were not for the scenario above.
I hope this is helpful feedback and you take...
Read moreIncredibly difficult to find, both the car GPS and the I-phone map direction ends up at a dead end. The guard fails to inform that there is a 1 km walk if you park right inside the gate. 20 mins late I don’t have time to warm up. Friendly staff but the course is a disappointment. Poor greens, lots of ground under repair, tees haven’t been cut in days etc. Even the signature hole 6 is a disappointment as we hit from a temporary tee from where we don’t even see the green despite being a par three hole. The ravine is not in play unless you hit your approach shot 40 yards short. All in all, a very overpriced venue that might be ok for a beginner but not the...

I played this course with a group of friends last month and the course was in good condition. It’s essentially a fairly short 9 hole which you play twice (not a big deal) but I had a nightmare with the club rental. They looked the business but on closer inspection the driver ad a crack in the head and my 7 iron snapped on my very first shot with it. Didn’t chunk it. Didn’t even swing that hard really. That resulted in an 80 euro fine which obviously left a bitter taste. Staff were obviously just doing their job and enforcing their policy but really spoiled what could’ve been a...
