Gato Marafado, Brunch & Tapas — Restaurant in Albufeira

Excellent brunch, pastries, pies & cake on the Marina! The Cake Shop, Brunch & Tapas was one of our favorite restaurants along the marina promenade. Service was quick and friendly with smiles and the menu creative and fresh. I really loved our avocado toast with a hint of pumpkin seeds, flax seeds and sunflower seeds. Really yummy and flavorful.

Pancakes were light and airy and served with maple syrup and thick bacon sides. The menu has many items to choose from with smoked salmon or smoked ham. Several tables around us ordered the Brunch Platter and shared as a table. Seemed very well suited for the families.

Inside their bakery items looked delectable and delicious. Would definitely return for some sweets. This place fills up quickly in the morning and I imagine quite busy in the summer as fresh choices for breakfast out of the ordinary.

Loved the light decor of the restaurant and the seating had benches and chairs for a unique design not similar to restaurants on the marina pier....

Amazing pies! I travel the world and make a point to eat desserts everywhere. I chanced on this cakeshop today as it was in the marina, close to where I did my tour.

The servers were not hawking (already a plus considering all the other stores by them) so I went into this quiet store. They only had 3 pies and a few brownies and tarts, so I chose the bannoffee pie. Friends, it was divine! I was always indifferent to bannoffee pies but this changed my mind. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious brunch at The Cake Shop in the lovely Albufeira Marina. It's in a great spot, overlooking the marina and we enjoyed sitting at the outdoor patio. I ordered the Marina Breakfast, which included fresh fruit, a croissant with jam, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, toast, and yogurt with granola. In hindsight too much food for just myself, but every aspect was fresh and super tasty! My husband had the lox sandwich, which he really enjoyed. They do a breakfast charcuterie board that looks incredible as well, but looked like too much food for only 2 people. A must visit...
