Overall pretty good food and excellent service when, upon being asked how was our food, I indicated it was not very flavorful — The waiter immediately offered to replace my meal with something else without hesitation. That was really spot on. I actually declined a replacement as we did not have enough time. Also, I did wonder if it was me as I had never had this pasta dish before. Well, a few minutes later the owner (also she was the chef) came out with a little plate of foods and sauce for us to sample and get our opinion. It was tasty, so I was definitely surprised to learn it was the same sauce as on my original pasta. Anyway, we had a very nice and polite conversation and their service on that front of wanting to satisfy their guests stuck with me. As a result I’m going to absolutely give them another chance. The ambiance in the little outside courtyard was actually quite nice even though it was by the road. And the breeze in the hot evening was so good. Their inside seating looks huge! I did feel that their food and wine were on the higher end of prices in the area, so it’s not going to be an ‘everyday dining place’ for me. But neither will I...

A small and cosy restaurant with great food. Quite a rustic style about the place with tattered menus and chipped furniture but all goes to make the feel of the place. (I had to convince my youngest :-) ) Definitely recommended people to book this restaurant as we arrived off season and managed to get a table without booking by the skin of our teeth. Second visit we realised it was very popular and booked ahead. There is inside as well as outside seating, the inside seating is quite close together but thankfully without the feeling of being on top of each other, there is also the option of outside seating which is well covered so in the summer it is not in the direct sun. There is a good selection of drinks but the house white in a jug is very drinkable and a good price. Sweets are excellent and quite large, we had profiterole and a selection of crepes. The crepes come with a liqueur on the side. Staff are friendly and helpful (especially the Scottish lady) and although busy are very obliging. Children can get a smaller portion of any of the main meals without any trouble...

We’ve been visiting Prima Pasta for many years when on holiday - normally for Takeaway. This year the menu has changed slightly (and we understand there are some new owners). The food was to the usual excellent standard. However my wife wanted a Mushroom (Fungi) pizza which is no longer on the menu - so we asked if they could do her the Vegetarian pizza without the Olives, Artichokes and Peppers (to basically be left with a Mushroom pizza) only to be told quite bluntly ‘No’. The pizzas are all made fresh, and there was only us in the entire restaurant, so it seemed like this could / should have been possible - we would even have gladly paid the full price, or slightly more. It just seemed a little petty when they clearly had the necessary...

It was quiet as we went at opening time but so glad we went, was looking forward to some Ravioli but they didn't have it so I took the advice to try the Pizza as they had recently set up new equipment and technique for this, well, it was the best Pizza I've ever had, the only thing the rivalled it was the starter as the tomatoes were to die for. Cocktails excellent and made me want to stay for longer but the place was booked out. Well worth trying, it was fabulous from start to finish.

I was getting burned out on Portuguese food and was craving some Italian. Prima Pasta solves that craving. I ordered an appetizer, thinking it was garlic cheese bread, but it was a garlic cheese pizza. The garlic was heavy, as you would expect and it was prepared perfectly. For a main course I ordered lasagna, which was also very good. The noodles maybe a bit overcooked, the cheese and flavor were perfect. Service was fine, no complaints. I would definitely go back.
