Alecrim — Restaurant in Aljezur

You definitely need to try this restaurant if you’re in Carripateira or around - simply the best. The menu is pretty extensive. It is inspired by the Italian and Portuguese cuisines and has plenty of options for vegetarian / vegan / gluten free diets. I loved the Ayurvedic salad - super nourishing with fresh ingredients and a filling portion. I didn’t get to try the pizza which seemed to be a very popular choice. You could also order it for takeaway (a back up plan in case you don’t manage to get a table). The restaurant accepts reservations and I highly recommend booking in advance if you are planning to go for dinner. There are different seating arrangements indoors and outdoors, and large groups could be accommodated. I preferred the terrace for its ambiance. Prices were fairly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The staff were super kind and went above and beyond to accommodate my special requests. Oh my God! Alecrim is the best place for high-quality, super tasty food in Carrapateira. We've been coming here three years in a row, and everything is always fresh and delicious. The chicken curry is fantastic—flavorful and perfectly spicy. The Pizza Carrapateira with anchovies is honestly the best of the best. My daughter asked to add onions and basil to her salami pizza, and it turned into a unique and incredibly tasty dish.We’ve also tried the cod and potato dish, hummus, homemade focaccia, and guacamole—every single item is outstanding. Just went out the restaurant, we had a great evening in a special place. Super friendly and professional staff, from the guy that brought us the wine to the beautiful vibe of Milton.

We took hummus with focaccia (we are italian so we know for sure it was a very good one) and for main courses shrimps and baccalà, we enjoyed everything and the price for all (wine included) was Fair.

Also the owners at the end were very nice talking and gave us a little surprise, if we come back next year for a surfing trip in Carrapateira we'll come back also here for another nice...
