Must have been there more than thirty times in the last four years. My second insider tip for Costa da Caparica. Yes, the rule in Costa is: if you want to eat well, you have to escape from the beach and the promenade - apart from very few exceptions. And not only is the restaurant not that far from the beach, with excellent parking (which should never be underestimated in Costa's summer chaos), but it has sensational fish. I admit, of the 30 times we ate there, 29 were fish and 1 was meat. I would never have come back for the meat (but wouldn't rate it either), but the fish is the sensation. I do not recommend this horrible restaurant. I was served stale fish - it had a bad odour and was falling apart under the fork. What my husband and mother-in-law ordered was also awful. The restaurant is dirty, incredibly noisy, no service. We left 75 euros there and I asked my husband not to pay for this rubbish food, but he didn't want a conflict with the restaurant manager so he paid even though we didn't eat anything and left hungry. Wasted money. The restaurant is ugly outside and inside, dirty, very crowded with screaming kids. There was so much noise it made your ears pop. I would also add that we waited for a free table for an hour and a half outside in the wind! I understood that those who go there have not seen quality food and good restaurants. A nightmare ended up a little better thanks to the waitress. So, although we booked a table we arrived and it was not ready yet. We waited. After a little a waiter (don’t know the name) was preparing a table literally in the street and I said I wouldn’t sit in that table and that my reservation was for a table in the patio, not in the street. The waiter, started to scream and repeat that I’m too stressed out and he ended up to go repeating in front of all the people there “you’re too stressed up” … is that the way they treat customers??? However, eventually a nice waitress named Flavia served us and the night went better despite most of the food in the menu was over and I ended up to have a salad and french fries (they ran out of vegan burgers too)....
