I had a wonderful experience at Adega São Mateus, a charming and cozy family-owned restaurant in Terceira, Azores. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff, embodying the warmth and hospitality that Terceira is known for. We ordered two times the grilled godfish and two other dishes. After more then an hour waiting for our food, we got a total different fish. We said this was not what we ordered but got the answer it is godfish, just cooked different. No problem when a mistake is made, big problem when you try to mislead your clients. We came in for a late lunch on Monday. The place is small, very crowded and loud. We asked for Cracas, which took over 40 minutes to get to us and weren't fresh at all. The main dishes we had were a shrimp omelette (too salty) and a bife panado, still watery from being frozen.
