La Nonna — Restaurant in Barreiro

Amazing environment with the little garden outside that makes the ambiance very relaxing and summer like. The food is definitely the best I have tried from the Italian cousinne. The pasta and risotto were very well made with flavor, presentation and quantity of shrimp (seriously, a lot of shrimp). Very well served. The sangria was amazing sweet and did not taste too strong. The tiramissu with mascarpone and puff pastry was incredible, I don't even like the normal tiramissu made with ice-cream. Overall 5/5 experience, prices are a tiny little more expensive than any other, but it is well worth the buck.

Update: added 4 photos. The place is still amazing 5 months later. This time we went for dinner and the place was full. We sat inside, with the view of the kitchen. Not loud, very calm and collected people working, the servers are just mood perfect, no over the top asking if everything is OK, they know. We thought the first time they put too much shrimp because we were the first, nope, they serve the same generous amount to everyone. This time we ordered the salmon bruschetta whi h was exquisite but not better than the tomato one. Also ordered a pizza which was phenomenal, beef prosciutto was a new flavour discovered (not life changing, just different) but the winner is the dough: soft thin and crispy. At last, desert, the last creme brule available, made by the restaurant tasted like "pastel de nata" warm, nice dose and the sugar on top was not over burned. Also recommend the sangria and the natural juice of the day as it does not come with ice, it's actually natural.

Lovely place. Restaurant is located outside the city centre on comercial zone. The restaurant it self looks nice and very clean. High quality of food and very tasteful. Fresh shrimps for example. Also friendly staff. Maybe but understaffed during peak moments. Absolutely nice...

I was 4 years without coming to this place, gave them a second chance. I had one of the worst Pastas of my life, the Pomodori Secchi, zero flavor, cold, a total disaster. Despite that I didn't eat it, no one asked if was everything ok, no one cares... there will not be...
