Good for a Snack - Tex-MEX in Caldas "Typical Snackbar" which is hosted by a nice couple from the US. Variety of food is okay. Homemade guacamole Service level 7/10 Food is freshly prepared

10 Euros for a Starter ( For a handful of Nacho's with Guacamole)

-overpriced Menu related to service and location

Quantity of food is poor For 15 Euro Fajita we had maximum 100g of "carne" and the 3 schrimps on top are already counted in.

-Long waiting time for food (fajitas took 30 minutes to get served and we was the only guests)

-mixed up interior design Plastic chairs :-(

-its not an Restaurant at all It's a typical "Snackbar"

-the place is definitely overrated

Definitely don't understand why this place is so hyped by...

It was a very personable experience, as the owners are the ones in the kitchen preparing your meals to order from fresh ingredients. José and Vanessa (husband & wife) were very pleasant and welcoming from the moment we entered, and are both tri- lingual (speak Spanish, Portuguese and English). The décor and ambiance sitting right across from the counter really felt like a tucked away tavern in Mexico, topped off with traditional Mexican music playing in the background as we waited to be served. The food was deliciously bursting with flavours, and were very generous portions.

Overall a very good experience, just be prepared for a bit of a wait depending on the number of people in your dining party and the time of day you decide to...

Coming from California, USA, we have a plethora of Mexican restaurants with very good food in all price ranges. Portugal has some, but not a lot of same. So we always look to try out one's new to us.

We went there yesterday afternoon to sample and were not disappointed. We ordered the nachos e mais to share and it had excellent flavor. The nachos were fresh and loaded with the typical meat, avocado, onion and tomatoes. The other dish, forget what it is called, had rice, chicken, tomato, beans.......and, I forget what else. Also great flavor & satisfying

We live 30 minutes away, but, we plan to visit this wonderful restaurant every month or so to satisfy our craving for...
