We stayed here one night (1st August 2024). We didn't read any reviews before booking, we picked it because it is close to Obidos and Nazaré and we were doing a roadtrip. What attracted us was the price (we needed something cheap between places we were visiting). When we arrived, we asked for parking and they gave us a card to go and park for free to a public parking at 5 minutes from the hotel during our stay (we had to leave €10 in deposit and when we returned the card, the gave us the deposit back without any problem). We also had the breakfast included in the price and it was correct (I only missed some croissants or more sweet products), considering it was included without any further charge. People was nice with us and the room was correct. The towels were clean, also the sheets and the room in general. The only thing about the room was that we weren't able to open the windows to clear the air a little bit in the morning. We would have loved to have a look to the hotel through its own webpage and make the reservation directly online with them (we don't like using Booking or external pages) but this is only a suggestion, not a complaint. Now I came to put my review and I found all the critics and, in my case, I can say that after paying 74 euros in peak season in Portugal for two people and close to touristic areas, I am more than happy with the experience. Even the day after, we went to have a walk in the village and there was a flea market and lots of shops and people on the streets (it was a Friday). It is true that during the night there aren't many open places, but during the day, it was crowded. I will give it a try if you want to visit the area because if you compare prices around, hotels are really expensive during this season. More than happy to repeat, thank you for your...
Read moreThis is not the place to go if you're LGBT. More specially, a lesbian couple. My girlfriend and I had spent 1 night there on Valentine's Day and we were disrespected and made fun of openly by the other guests in the hotel ( specifically mentioning young sport players from associations that stayed in the same floor as us). Young and old ones as well. They laughed at us, made comments and gave constant disgusted looks. It was horrible. We wanted a night to relax and ended coming home even more stressed. This is not something ANY hotel should allow or ignore. This was blatant homophobia and ongoing issue. Everyone deserves respect, no matter who they are. Save yourself the headache unlike us, and go stay somewhere else if you're LGBT or you simply don't support homophobic actions. And the...
