The hotel is just behind the church.||I experienced a rather so-so "welcome" (the word was never uttered). The key was given to me, as was the a/c control. No explanation of ANYTHING (they key is indeed unusual).||When I needed help with the Wifi, (my second trip downstairs), I was told that the (moth-eaten) bit of paper stuck on the key was IT!!||I tried and tried. No use!||Back down (third time). I was then told that a vital part of the code was not on that worn little scrap of paper.||Lousy service!||||The room was unequivocally samey. Boring and in need of repaint and repair (especially the less that "nice" bathroom.) A "tired" room in a weary establishment.||||Breakfast next morning: frankly, dull. the grey kind of mainly flavourless breakfast you get anywhere in a lot cheaper hotels, this time with an officious redundant little fellow pointing out the cold milk, etc.. already massively labelled.||||Result: NO, thank you. NOT again. It was cheap (€31 for one person, room 304, with magnificent views of other people's back walls - usually €42) but not cheerful.||The only redeeming feature as I left was a receptionist I had not encountered when I arrived. A bubbly, short-haired woman who knew her way around, and did her best! (My...
Read moreMy friend stayed at this hotel for two weeks whilst visiting us. The hotel is a family run business with little concern for good customer service. During my friends two week stay several large groups also stayed at different times. These groups were very noisy and roudy, the management did not seem to be concerned that other residents might be inconvenienced by the noise and did nothing to request respect or ask to reduce the noise. The room was clean and tidy and cleaned every day, although a little dated and dark, the bed was old and creeky, there were no in-room tea or coffee making facilties, and the hotel Wi-Fi wasn't great, the room did had a TV and there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. One of the breakfast staff very kindly bought my friend a box of PG tips tea bags as their English tea was undrinkable. Although this hotel is reasonably priced we would recommend paying a little more to stay at a better quality hotel with a friendlier more respectful customer service ethos. When my friend left and handed in her room key for the last time there was no enquiry or concern as to how her stay had been! We would not recommend any of our friends to...
Read moreHonestly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever visited. The room was old and in dire need of renovations. It looked clean and tidy, but shortly after settling in bed I had ants walking all over me and mosquitoes on the walls... It was August, but the AC only worked for heating up the place, not cooling it down. The Bathroom was small and looked awful. But it was clean. The breakfast staff was nice and attentive to everyone and really they were the only positive part of this visit. The food itself was simple and very plain. Extremely noisy after 8am, the cleaning staff was totally inconsiderate of sleeping guests and ran around like people who were still resting didn’t matter... I won’t stay here again ever, not if I can...
