Perfectly nice modern cafe-bar, neither cheap nor overpriced. For the levada-walker it has 2 key features. Firstly it is at the highest point on the main road carrying the bus route, so if you pick your point from the Calheta Levada Nova east of the Central (power station), you can do minimum decent walking, still steep on minor roads. Secondly the bar commands extensive views to the west, so you get 5 minutes' advance notice of the eastbound (to Ribeira Brava, Funchal) bus's arrival. Hence you can get, and finish, another drink rather than standing for ages at the stop for the variably punctual transport.
