Amazing steak! Cooked perfectly and to order - we cut it with a butter knife. It came with thick cut fries perfectly cooked and crispy (I hate soggy fries and typically don’t like thick cut ) The side salad had fresh greens and local vegetables with the lightest hint of oil and vinegar which let the flavor come through. And let’s talk about the garlic bread - we thought when she said she would bring bread it was just that, but it was garlic bread with cloves and olive oil.

If Google would let me put 6 stars in, I would give 10! This restaurant is gorgeous! A small restaurant driven by locals serving traditional Madeiran food. They speak little English, but don’t let this bother you. The service is great, the food is incredibly delicious. They don’t offer a drinks menu, but the service will help you with the order. Wine, beer, Softdrinks, everything is available.

We visited the restaurant twice and ordered different dishes. All of them were a dream. I recommend to start with Bolo do Caco, some fluffy bread with garlic butter. Then go with your entree and of course have some desert. Your desert can also be a coffee or a poncha.

Ein kleines Restaurant, welches von Einheimischen betrieben wird und typisch Mandeiranische Gerichte serviert. Sie sprechen wenig Englisch, aber lassen Sie sich davon nicht beirren. Der Service ist super, die Speisen sind umwerfend lecker. Es gibt keine schriftliche Getränkekarte, doch der Service wird bei der Bestellung helfen. Wein, Bier, Softdrinks, alles ist da.

Wir waren zwei Mal in diesem Restaurant essen und haben unterschiedliche Gerichte bestellt. Jedes einzelne für sich ein Traum! Ich empfehle mit dem Bolo so Caco, einem fluffigen Knoblauchbrot zu beginnen. Anschließend ist jedes einzelne der Hauptgerichte zu empfehlen. Trauen Sie sich, etwas anderes als ein klassischen Burger zu nehmen, denn hier gibt es lokale Küche! Runden Sie auf jeden Fall das Menü mit einem Dessert ab. Auch einen Kaffee oder das traditionelle Inselgetränk Poncha zählen als Dessert, wenn kein Platz mehr für einen lokalen Cheesecake, Tiramisù und...
