O Faroleiro — Restaurant in Cascais

When we arrived, waiter put bread, butter, cheese and olives in our table without asking or showing us the menu. Later I saw in the bill that they charged us couvert and the cheese - which was an entree - to a total amount of 12 eur. All served without asking me. When I asked what it was, the waiter said he offered and asked before serving, which was a lie. I understand the couvert charge, but serving an entree is absurd. Apart from this, asked the waiter what the Linguado a Tropical was, he replied "fish with butter sauce". I ordered and it came with Kiwi and Pineapple, which I think are important points to mention when someone ask you about the recipe. Food was also not great, anything that is not pure seafood is not well prepared and not well seasoned. Passion fruit pie had artificial pineapple taste (which was terrible).

EDIT: response to the answer below. One of the dishes was octopus, which is seafood. I was NOT ASKED AT ANY TIME if I wanted the couvert or entree and I while I understand the couvert is common practice, an entree is not. Arguing with a client in an answer is even worse than the situation itself - bad experience...

I was extremely disappointed when I found out that the lobster I ordered was served cold when it specifically was a warm dish. They set bread and olives down without even offering. The bread and olives was 20 euros for our group which we were under the impression that it was complimentary. After our appetizers was very plain with no flavor and the shrimps felt like they were defrosted. After we asked for the check we were harassed to get a coffee or dessert and when we said no the waiter rudely handed us our check. Overall our experience was bad and we also felt overlooked and the service was not up to our standards. To me it was disappointing and I found the staff rude. If you want overpriced bad food then...

It was my birthday and I asked for nice table. They said they will give me the best. “Best” you can see on the first picture… They brought us horrible cheap olives, bread and butter that later they included on the bill! You can’t bring anything what people didn’t ask and make them pay for it! Food was ok, nothing special. Our waiter was nice and cute, but around were so loud and rude waiters that bothered me a lot!
