It was disappointed because the service was not correct. Even we did not order the waiters put in the table octopus salad and 2 butter , cheese and bread. After our order the waiter said if we don't touch it , he will not count. We are ate it, but it was a little pushy for me, and I saw to the Portuguese guest did not have it, so probably is only for tourist. After the waiters come back 3 times to our table , because he can't notice what we ordered (2 person). And after we ordered still water, never came, and in the receipt was more ouvert what we eat to the beginning, and when I saw this mistake to the waiters he didn't want to change in the bill. Instead of 0,95 cent we paid 5,95 with is nothing, but wasn't nice behaviour . Even if I realised that mistake, so never again, I found many nicer restaurant, it is really "just to cheat tourist as much as they can" behaviour for me. I am working in the same job, and I am always want to see my guest feel satisfied and if there any complains I always want to do the best from me, we are human, we can make mistakes..... But here nobody cares my complain and...
Read moreIt was our first visit to Meste Ze. The restaurant interior was very nice and the view was amazing. The staff greeted us so kindly and worked very hard to attend to our every need. We came for lunch, but it appeared lunch and dinner had no difference in the menu. The price of the food was about twice the amount of a nice Cascais restaurant. Our guests ordered the shrimp curry. It was full of delicious shrimp (one was unpeeled), but no vegetables. It was simply shrimp in curry sauce which is fine if you like it that way. I had the Vegetable Curry. It was just ok...more sauce than vegetables and was too salty. This says a lot since I add salt to everything. The last person ordered Filetes de Linguado à Delícia. He loved it except that the fish was served in a large pool of oil. This is very unhealthy and it concerned me. Our final bill was $124 for 4 entres, olives, cheese, 1 salad, and water. No wine and no dessert. We felt it was overpriced for...
Read moreWe had a good meal, but a very unfair practice ruined the experience. When we arrived, there was cheese with some biscuits already on the table, and shortly after, a small octopus salad was served as an “entrée,” none of which we had ordered. Both were presented as if they were complimentary or included in the cover charge.
However, when the bill came, we found an €8 charge for the cheese and €12 for the octopus salad, with no prior information that they were not complimentary. It’s not about the €20, but about transparency and fairness, I want to decide what to order and how to spend my money.
To make matters worse, when the bill arrived and I wanted to ask for clarification, the waiters, who had been idle and present throughout the meal, had suddenly disappeared from the dining room.
A very disappointing experience. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place to anyone who values transparency...
