Hayoooooo this was epic. A semi-small diner run by an elderly couple just bringing the.best.food. Truly, this rocked our day. The food is simple and beautifully made. Everything is prepared on the spot, even the fries are handmade. You walk into this restaurant and are charmed by both the cluttered style of interior as well as the kind generosity of the proprietors. As I said, the food is pretty straightforward but full of flavour and effort. Prices are reasonable and the place invites you to have a good time. At this price point (€14-15 a dish) we can find more sophisticated Portuguese restaurants and maybe get better servings, but it won't be easy to beat this cozy and lovely atmosphere. Plus, they serve few exquisite dishes and homemade desserts that you may not easily find elsewhere.
It makes a great place for the occasional dinner out with a group of friends...
