Restaurante Infante Panorâmico — Restaurant in Castro Marim

I asked for tiramisu for dessert. I went to the dessert fridge and asked if there was alcohol in it, and they said NO. I went back to the table and asked again, this time to a different waiter who was taking my dessert order, asking if there was alcohol in the tiramisu and clarifying that it was really important to me, and he assured me there was NO alcohol in it. Finally, they brought me the tiramisu, I put a spoonful in my mouth and immediately spit it out into a napkin because it not only contained alcohol, but a lot of it. I don't understand why they did this, because children could eat it, and you should warn them about this, and you definitely shouldn't lie about it when you're asked directly several times. Is this a restaurant or a gas station diner??? Why don't the waiters know the ingredients in the dishes they serve to guests??? We paid 100 euros for one dish for two, one glass of white wine for my husband, and one sugar-free cola, which is above average for Portugal. We will never return to this place; I will never set foot there again. Thank God we don't have allergies and didn't die in this restaurant because the waiters lied about the food being free of dangerous...

A disappointing night out. Regret for for such bad experience. The good part: The views are great. Waiters friendly if overworked. The bad part: service is atrocious (75m wait time between starter and mains). Mains was terrible and we had to send it back although we were starving by then (too much salt). We downed the 2.7€ tap water bottle but to no avail. Kid option of spaghetti plate with plain tomate sauce took 1h10m to be served (he was half asleep by then). Mind, this was not a single table event more than half of patrons were disgruntled. We kept having eye contact with other guests in other tables half in disbelief half in bewilderment. A strong don't go recommendation. Specially in a area packed with good restaurants, no reason or justification for your patronage. Em português, boas vistas com empregados amigáveis, mas com serviço longo e demorado (mais de 1h). Comida sem qualidade e no nosso caso devolvida para tras, apesar da fome. Preços sem qualquer relação para a qualidade. Água da torneira a 2.7€ para lavar a comida salgadissima. Um forte não vá! Principalmente para uma área que está repleta de bons...

We came here especially from Spain for dining. I've tried calling multiple times yesterday and today, but no one ever picked up the phone. This lack of communication was frustrating, but I decided to give it a shot and walk in anyway since they usually have tables available, I did it las year few times.

When we arrived, the lady at the reception was extremely impolite and rude. Instead of greeting us with a smile or being helpful, she acted like we were inconveniencing her by simply being there. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome from the start.

To make matters worse, it seemed like she had no interest in accommodating us or answering our questions. It's shocking to see such poor customer service and a lack of basic manners from someone who is supposed to be the face of the establishment.

I’ve visited this place before, but after this experience, I am so disappointed. A business is only as good as its staff, and if this is how they treat their customers. The managers should double check with their staff and how they attend...
