Muralhas de Celorico — Restaurant in Celorico da Beira

We ate here a couple of weeks ago and it was one of the best meals in my life. We had cheese filled cod and I believe the garlic lamb. While both meals were clearly perfected with experience, skill and love in terms of composition and preparation, what stood out most was the use of salt. I do like salty foods, but I never realized that this too is something that could be perfected to such a level with exciting contrasts and super thick pieces of potato that are salted just right...

Went there on a business trip and with recommendation from the locals. When entering I could sense the sympathy and desire to make things as pleasant as possible. We ordered the lamb with garlic sauce and herbs, I can tell that it was simply the best lamb I ever ate, everything on this dish was stunning, from the roasted potatoes to the meat, and even the green beans. Very nice restaurant, both Portuguese (Prato de dia) and by menu Very good food, tasty and well served. On the menu they have a very good fillet Mignon and great borrego (lamb). Highly recommended... Update: We tried the steak (coseletas de vitela) with the bone. Wow, wow, wow... If you are in celorico da Beira, go there and you will not be disappointed... Update: Still great, we wnt for dinner and enjoyed...
