Restaurante WOK MONDEGO — Restaurant in Coimbra

I’m naturally skeptical of large Asian buffets. These behemoths usually offer quantity over quality, tons of greasy food, mediocre sushi, a weird combination of western and supposedly Asian fare, and other lackluster dishes. So I approached Wok Mondego, in the Portuguese city of Coimbra, with some trepidation. Turns out I was pleasantly surprised! The bottom line is that Wok Mondego offers exceptional value for money. For a mere 10.90 Euros per person for lunch, you can enjoy a vast all-you-can-eat Asian buffet. The quality of the food, while not superb, is impressive when considering the price point. This place is one of my favourite buffet in Coimbra😋 They have a good variety of food such as sushi, chicken, meat, noodles, salads, shrimp, fruits, dessert and so on which can be served for different tastes. However, they are fresh meat that you can order to cook, which usually I don’t like that much. They are not my taste. I would suggest improving the quality of this part by adding proper spices or flavour. The food counters were running out pretty rapidly and table service to replenish drinks was very limited, considering what you pay to eat or expect I think it greatly under delivered unfortunately. I remember when the restaurant first opened it was tip top service counters were replenished rapidly but, ever since your price increase your service has gone downhill sadly as I have recommended your establishment to a great deal of people who have sadly reported back saying not impressed ( embarrassing) hopefully someone takes this constructive criticism serious as I still believe it can be as great as when you...
