I recently had the pleasure of dining at Primor Serra, a charming restaurant nestled in the beautiful Serra da Estrela region. The restaurant offers a delightful experience of local gastronomy, showcasing the traditional cheese and Presunto as part of their starters. While the food may not be mind-blowing, it certainly delivers on taste and manages to stay true to the essence of the local cuisine.

The starters, which feature the iconic local cheese and Presunto, offer a genuine taste of the region. The flavors are authentic, and you can appreciate the effort put into representing the local gastronomy. These dishes serve as an excellent introduction to the meal, setting the stage for the rest of the dining experience.

One aspect that truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional service provided by Antonio, our attentive and knowledgeable waiter. Antonio went above and beyond to understand our needs and ensure that we had a memorable time. His professionalism and attentiveness added a personal touch to the dining experience, making us feel truly welcome.

Moving on to the main courses, the pork joint and the lamb were among the highlights of the menu. The dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and satisfied our expectations. While not reaching the heights of culinary excellence, they certainly left a positive impression, and I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Primor Serra.

The dishes at Primor Serra (meat, fish, soup) were absolutely delicious, especially after a long day of hiking in the area. The quality of the food is top notch with all meals prepared with care and a lot of flavour. The service of this restaurant is exceptional. The staff is very kind, explains what the dishes are, answers any questions a customer may have, and are also very personable and you really feel like you’re in a home-styled restaurant. Perhaps I should have given a 4.75 rating (as the staff at Primor would agree that there is always room for improvement) but nonetheless I experienced not a single negative when dining here. Extraordinary food and excellent service! We had "Polvo á Lagareiro"(Octopus), "Bacalhau"(Codfish), "Cabrito"(Lamb) and Pernil de Porco(Pork Leg) and each dish was cooked to perfection.
