Dom Egas Restaurante & Taberna — Restaurant in Fafe

We ordered 3 different dishes for dinner and all were very average... not bad, not great, just average though the price did not reflect that. Service was incredibly slow and the waiter made my family and I feel like a burden. We would have left after dinner but our daughter was looking forward to dessert, which sadly she said tasted stale and would not eat more than a bite. After another very long wait, we asked for coffees and at the same time, the bill hoping this would speed things up. The waiter sighed, rolled his eyes and walked off mid sentence. Another long wait, he arrived to slam our coffees on the table and walk off leaving is to wait again for the bill. After he gave us the bill, we waited another 15 minutes for him to come back to finally clear our table which we stacked our dishes hoping this would help. We asked about paying the bill and it was only at that point did he decide to abruptly tell us to go pay at the counter. For a Monday night it was reasonably busy, though there were plenty of staff but our waiter seemed to blatantly ignore us which even now we can't understand why. Só posso definir este restaurante com uma palavra: deplorável! Hoje foi a terceira vez que a este espaço, pois acredito que todos merecem novas oportunidades. Mas 3 vezes a persistir o mau serviço é demasiado. Em resumo, na segunda vez, o serviço demorou 55, a comida vinha fria, pedimos salada por 2 vezes, mas o pedido foi sempre ignorado e nem um pedido de desculpas ou justificação pelo atraso. Hoje entendemos dar uma nova oportunidade, mas em vão. Foi de mal a pior. Éramos 2, fizemos num pedido simples… apenas uns rissois de entrada… um deles vinha sem recheio. Aguardamos 50 minutos pelo pedido, espetada mista com gambas, interpelando o funcionário por algumas vezes sobre a demora… indicamos diversas vezes que tínhamos alguma pressa…ao fim deste tempo, estávamos já a levantar para sair e chega o nosso pedido. Deplorável e indecentemente. Carne fria, salgada e com gosto de estragado. Perante tal situação, o funcionário sugeriu aquecer a comida… no mínimo ridículo… Sugeriu então substituir por outra coisa… Como poderia aceder a tal sugestão, depois de tão mau serviço? De notar que faço referência ao funcionário, mas este foi sempre solicito na medida das suas possibilidades. O que é inadmissível é ver o gerente/ proprietário ao longe, apenas a observar, sem ter um único gesto de cuidado e apreço pelo cliente. Definitivamente, se procura uma refeição agradável e um bom serviço, elimine este espaço...
